Yeah, I searched through the 'nicomaki' tags and that's unfortunate. Many people tend to forget (or ignore?) that most scanlators use their own money to buy doujin and scanlate it for fans. (unless you're the type who asks for donations, lol) It takes a LOT of time/effort to do this stuff, so of course groups are gonna do what they want to do, honestly speaking.
yeah! i think a lot of people take fanwork and efforts in general for granted; they are not machines that will cater to your specific tastes. one of the best things about fandom is that you have the freedom to be creative in an entirely self-indulgent manner, so shame on the people who won’t make efforts for their own interests and expect others to do it for them.

who cooks normally?: Nico definitely cooks. She's spent so much time cooking for her younger siblings that she's gotten hella good. Maki on the other hand is an absolute nightmare in the kitchen. Maki always wants to help but she will burn the house down if she does. Nico practically has to sit Maki down at the children's table with a coloring book so she won't touch anything.
how often do they fight?: They don't seriously fight very often but they do have little arguments a lot. Even after getting together, they never really outgrew that natural pull to just butt heads with each other. Though they've gotten to the point where these little arguments are almost comical, and they often laugh it off right after.
what do they do when they’re away from each other?: They text a lot. Though when Nico becomes a professional idol after hs, the time away from each other becomes a lot more difficult to handle. Nico is really busy when she's away, so she can't talk much. Maki tries to keep distracted, but she is noticeably quiet during these times because she knows Nico is having lots of fun without her. A part of her worries that something will happen while Nico is away and she tries not to think about it too much. Though Nico never tells Maki, the moment she's free, she rushes to her phone to text her because she misses her like crazy when she's away.
nicknames for each other?: Nico ironically calls Maki things like memelord cause it makes Maki mad, but when she's being serious, she'll call Maki by pet names like "babe" or "love". Maki sticks to calling Nico by her given name because it makes her smile.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Maki is more likely to simply because she has the money for it. This really hurts Nico sometimes because she's embarrassed by the financial state of her household, and she hates feeling dependent on Maki. But Maki handles it tactfully and oftentimes she reassures Nico that she does it because she loves her and wants to treat her and not because she has to.
who steals the covers at night?: Maki does. She's such a little princess when it comes to sleeping arrangements. She wants like four pillows and five blankets and she ends up taking them all rip Nico.
what would they get each other for gifts?: They both try really hard to get perfect gifts for each other. Maki scrambles to find something idol related to give to Nico but quickly realizes that Nico has basically everything. She ends up composing Nico a song and playing it for her on piano and Nico tears up. Nico is a huge sappy romantic so she ends up buying them a pair of rings for them to wear so they can still feel connected even if they're far away from each other.
who remembers things?: Maki remembers everything. Not only is she good at remembering things for a practical sake (like remembering to buy milk at the store when they run out) but she also remembers everything she's ever learned about Nico. Like she knows what Nico likes/dislikes without having to think about it and she'll remember the exact time and setting of things like the first time they ever held hands. It makes Nico so happy because Maki is the first person to actually go out of her away to remember things about her.
who cusses more?: Nico's got a bit of a mouth on her, but after living with three small children for many years, she learned how to tone it down when she needs to. Maki doesn't curse much but when it happens, she usually mutters curses under her breath.
what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Nico gets real quiet. Any silliness she has goes away completely and she's 100% determined to get help for Maki. She acts quickly and efficiently, but anyone can see the panic in her eyes if they look close enough. Maki's a lot more obvious with her worry. Since she works for her family's hospital, she knows exactly what to do to help Nico, but that doesn't stop her hands from shaking wildly. Maki has the potential to become an incredible doctor, but her weak point is those who she's close to. She panics.
who kissed who first?: Maki kissed Nico first and it was a surprise. It's done on complete impulse one day when her gay feelings for Nico are too strong and she completely zones while Nico is rambling and ends up kissing her mid sentence. Nico gets so mad cause one, she was talking, and two, Maki missed and kissed the edge of her mouth. It was just bad. She had to teach Maki how to kiss properly after that.
who made the first move?: Maki technically did. Once she accepted that she had the hots for her senpai, she kinda zoomed in hella hard on Nico without really realizing. She ended up subconsciously placing herself next to Nico when they hung out as a group and she became like twice as attentive to Nico whenever she spoke. Nico picks up on this rather quickly and one day just goes like "do you like me or something, Maki-chan?" and Maki's life flashes before her eyes.
who started the relationship?: They both do technically. They actually sit down and talk about Maki's feelings once Nico figures it out, and it is the realest conversation they have at that point. At the end of their feelings discussion, they both decide to date.
Who holds the umbrella when it rains: They tend to switch around the responsibility of holding the umbrella. It never really matters who holds it because that’s not what matters on their walk home in the rain. They both insist, Eli especially, that they hold hands while they walk, so as long as they can do that, it doesn’t matter who holds it.Who is the grumpiest in the morning: Neither of them are grumpy in the morning. Eli likes mornings more than Nozomi, but both are capable of handling it. Who worries more when the other is sick/hurt: Nozomi worries a lot about Eli because she is constantly working. It’s really hard to drag Eli away from her work, so Nozomi worries that the stress will make Eli ill. It’s happened in the past and Nozomi does her best to nurse Eli back to health, but she knows that there’s nothing she can really say to dissuade Eli from working as much as she does. Who plays pranks on the other: Nozomi loves playing pranks, but she picks the time of day real carefully. She knows that if she pranks Eli during school or student council hours, she’s in big trouble. Though sometimes Nozomi can’t help herself and she pulls something during those times. It’s funny at the time because Eli can’t do anything in front of others but the silent treatment Nozomi gets afterwards makes it not worth it.Who is always the first to suggest cuddling on the sofa: It’s actually Eli. After working long hours, all Eli wants to do is cuddle up to her gf and watch something dumb on tv. Eventually Nozomi learns to sit on the couch at certain times because she knows Eli will plop down next to her within seconds.Who insists on creating nicknames for the other: Nozomi ofc. She’s been using Elicchi for years and that’s the name she prefers to call Eli. Occasionally Nozomi will refer to Eli as ‘Elichika’ but it’s almost always ironically and she uses it to make Eli flustered. At some point, Nozomi picks up a bit of Russian and she’ll give Eli pet names in Russian, but they’re mostly used to fluster. Who drools on the other when they’re asleep: Eli drools. She’s very embarrassed by it and she’s almost 100% positive that Nozomi is keeping that information as some sort of blackmail material, but in reality, Nozomi doesn’t really care and she finds it cute. Though Nozomi doesn’t reveal that because she thinks Eli’s paranoia about her drooly tendencies is really funny.Who says ‘I love you’ first: There wasn’t a big confession between the two of them. They grew so tight knit that the idea of not being with each other seemed impossible. One day, those words just slipped out of Eli’s mouth. She sort of trails off at the end and is really confused and disoriented but Nozomi says it back almost immediately and that’s when they decide that perhaps they should be a couple since they already act so much like one.
