Pegoryu Week 2021 day 5: sick day/comfort. Ryuji's ankle got hurt during a jog.

I was about to make Ryuji's right leg, the one injured and now getting bandaged, since the bandage on Captain Kidd's leg suggests that Ryuji's right leg is the one Kamoshida broke. But if Ryuji's right leg is the one with an old injury, then wouldn't his left ankle be more prone to take on more weight, to take some pressure off his right leg? So if he gets a new injury, wouldn't it be on his left leg/ankle/foot, for straining to carry the weight of both legs?
