10.19 The Werther Project

ok but can we talk about her hair like this absolute serve

the werther project but instead of dean seeing benny in purgatory he’s searching for cas all over again. and this time he’s alone. when he finds him, cas tells dean that it’s too late, that if only he’d found him sooner then maybe they could’ve escaped together, and dean is so distraught he actually believes him. the leviathans find them, and when cas says that only one of them is getting out alive, dean makes a decision and plans to let the leviathans have him so cas can get away safely. of course, before he dies (although the mark of cain would’ve made sure he came back anyway), cas is there to pull him out of it. dean is strangely quiet after that, goes with cas to help sam, drives them back to the bunker. when cas gets him alone in the kitchen and asks what happened, dean doesn’t respond right away. slowly, he shuffles closer. cas is confused at first, tilts his head when dean starts to lean into his space and oh— they’re hugging. and dean is crying. and if cas’ wings were still intact they’d be wrapped around the man in his arms.
