This is how Captain Rex defends your staunchly unreasonable ass, when he'd probably
probably prefer to dump it in a ravine, because your staunchly unreasonable ass just got
just got eleven(11) of his men KILLED

Season 1, Episode 15: 8 Simple Rules for Dadding My Teenage Paeden
Favorite moment: Walter!!!
General thoughts:
The Taken intro parody is great. Also, great title. I wonder how much of their audience even knows or saw the show it is parodying. I watched 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, but I think I'm with the older end of the audience.
Working things out with Erin is great. Love that she burned their books. Way to throw another wrench in the plot, Anthony.
Intro to the Deck of Many Things. First , it comes back with the Library, but won't come back full force for almost 30 episodes. This deck affects so many things later, it's a wonderful way to weave in a random element.
The whole side quest to get Paeden parents is very funny and gives us Walter! I love Walter as a character. Way to roll with what the party wants to do.
Pea-knuckle is such fun. Love the interactions between Paeden and Ron in this episode.
3 people robes now! Dun dun dun!
And now off to find Grant...

Supernatural Rewatch 2k23: Season 1 Episode 15 "The Benders"
Okay, I thiiiiiink I might know which episode this is and if it's the episode I'm thinking of, I'm gonna have a bad time. More under the cut because spoilers... I understand this show is now legally allowed to vote but I'm being kind.
Watching Transformers G1 Part 288

Bad Batch Finale (1/2) Spoilers
Yeah, no. I don't buy that Crosshair's chip had been taken out. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we find out the Empire lied and told him it was out when it wasn't, but for it to actually have been taken out? Crosshair has never been the most people-person type, but to actually have been following the Empire's wishes like a blind puppy of his own free will? No.
The first problem is why would the Empire want the chip to be taken out? The chip is the thing keeping the clones following orders, why would they waste the time and money needed for the process of getting the chips removed when they're planning to phase out all the clones anyways?
And if that actually was all Crosshair, it would narratively be kind of flat to reveal that with just Crosshair dramatically saying so. That's like, sixth-grade level writing. Or like a cheesy action flick from the 60's where the hero's best friend reveals at the end: "I am actually Dr. Evil and have been plotting against you this whole time!"
It would make more sense if Crosshair believes his chip had been taken out because the Empire lied to him. Or (and this is what I personally believe) Crosshair lied to Hunter because he recognized that, from Hunter's point of view, Hunter had the conversational high ground just on the basis of his chip being out and therefore capable of making his own decisions without chip influence. Crosshair saying that, then, was just a way of jumping to the same level and getting Hunter to take his word seriously. Why else was Crosshair so evasive when answering when his chip got taken out?
