OUAT (re) watch S4 (up to) 4x04 - Emma why????

I think all my fanfic headcanons had confused me and I thought somehow it was not Emma's choice to dress that way for her first date with Hook.

But instead I have to believe she deliberately choose to dress like that? I mean she had to go out and buy that dress specifically?? When we saw how she dressed for her bondsperson's dates and the date with Walsh?

I choose to believe that was the only dress available in Storybrooke shops. It seems so out of character for me.

Again I am a SQ shipper, I can see the allure of Captain Swan but not when they do things like this.

The date I overall liked. I like Hook character, I like the way he seems not to take himself seriously. I liked the magically-recovered hand, and the idea that it didn't really change his behaviour but gave him permission to behave how he really wanted (it's quite a complex idea and it could pack a lot of punch, I don't read CS fics but I bet it gave fodder for a lot of good ones, and rightly so).

I liked her fighting the urge to chase Will Scarlet at the restaurant, that was more in character (maybe because she looked more like my headcanon dork Emma - I know my biases :D ).

As for S4 I like the idea Regina and Henry working together on operation Mongoose. I like the Elsa storyline, but I would like it more if it included Regina and Emma and the Charmings together. But I guess I am waiting for the Queens of Darkness to come along.
