3/5/2020 - It’s May! April was so slow but fast at the same time?
This week has been a good one. I finally presented my research to my committee which went well! Now I just have to make those final edits for the book binding *sighs* and that conference. I have one more week left of classes before my last exam (which I’m hoping I can exempt) and another livestream performance. After that, I’ll be done with my undergrad!

Favorite colour: Currently, yellow. Historically, blue.
Last song I listened to: The Weeknd - Blinding Lights. It’s so good :( I’m such a sucker for 80′s synth and RnB respectively.
Favorite musicians: Amy Winehouse is my everything n more; also love Mitski, The 1975, and Clairo!! Solange and Ariana Grande have my heart as well.
Favorite songs: Oh boy. I’m definitely forgetting some but off the top of my head: You Sent Me Flying by Amy Winehouse; Closer to You by Clairo; pete davidson by Ariana Grande (what can I say it’s my happy song); Strawberry Blond by Mitski; Wesley’s Theory by Kendrick Lamar.
Last film I watched: I’m in the middle of watching Knives Out again and it’s just as amazing as I remember.
Last TV show I watched: ... Supernatural. Am I trying to relive my 12 year old days? Yes, yes I am.
Favorite OC(s): Hm... my all-time favorite would probably be Minnie Goetz. I resonated with her a lot growing up as a teenager so she meant (and continues to mean) a lot to me. I could literally write a paper on how much she’s helped me. Other OC’s I love include Tina Belcher and the Babadook (who is in fact gay).
Sweet, savoury or spicy: Love sweet, love savoury, NEVER SPICY. My tolerance is so bad. Although I do love hot cheetos, those are literally my limit.
Sparkling water, tea or coffee: Coffee down to my core. Sparkling water is great though, I love carbonation.
Pets?: A dog and a cat! They get along weirdly well.

Favorite place you’ve been: Budapest will always hold a special place in my heart, standing by the river and riding the tram was like being in a Ghibli film. What’s happening there right now is very concerning.
Last book you finished (opinions): The Master and Margarita (Bulgakov), I really liked it! It took me a hot minute to finish though, like nine months (which is a loooong time). It’s kind of what got me into Russian literature and was my first magi-realist novel.
Sweet, savoury or spicy: All of the above, though I probably lean towards savoury and spicy.
Sparkling water, tea or coffee: TEA FOR THE WIN
The first thing you’ll do when you’re released from quarantine: I want to see my friends again and give them a big hug (I had to leave without saying goodbye). I will probably cry like a baby.

11/1/20 - I practiced again this morning 🎼
The Beethoven is more of a beast than I thought it would be, I still need to finish memorizing the Bach Allemanda and have the Sarabande ready for my lesson next week, but at least I’m making progress! Also, here’s the third movement of the Debussy sonata that I also still need to finish learning :) Interim is off to a great start!

Huh, that's a little strange... When you say seminar tutor from over a year ago does that mean they've already received a grade for the course?
yeah, but it turns out she was asking about a different module that’s just using one of the texts i taught her last year. her seminar tutor hasn’t emailed her back about the issue for the last two weeks so she took a chance and emailed me instead. which is weird.
7/1/2020 at ass o clock in the morning (JK it was really only 7:30 AM) - I got a matcha latte with my friend whom I haven’t seen in two months. We exchanged Christmas presents as well! I think we’re gonna get coffee again tomorrow? Either way day 2 of Jan Term and it’s going pretty well :)
