â â un homme et une femme. â
ââ
dating the known prodigy itoshi sae was sometimes a surprise to you. it felt like you were from two worlds apart â you, a university student with a dream of opening your own flower shop one day; he, the âreviverâ of Japanese football. you always found that nickname silly, especially due to the fact that saeâs intentions werenât even closely related to what people of thought of him at all. And often, thinking about the way you met it seems a lot like fate had it written in the stars for you to be together. Well if you ignore the fact that Oliver Aiku is the one that led to you meeting.
he had asked your friend on a date, typical of course. What he didnât realise is that on the same day of their supposed date he had also told Sae that heâll pay off one of his many favours with a meal. Similarly, your lovely friend and colleague who you have covered shift for two times in the past week also told you sheâll be taking you out to a âfancy and filling meal, all on her.â
so instead of cancelling the date as normal people would, and paying off their favours, they decide to bring you both along with them.

Sae remembers the first time he saw you like it was yesterday. At first he had regretted agreeing to Oliverâs request. He couldnât care less about getting anything in return, since as proved, even that brought more trouble than pleasure when involving yourself with the man. But who wouldâve known it would turn out to be the most life changing day of his life.
Sae had scored many beautiful goals. Played for all the teams he wanted to. Became a worshipped player in Japan and surpassed even the most difficult challenges in Spain. Yet none of these things were as fulfilling as looking into your eyes for the first time. No kidding. They were like jewels, shining beautifully in the low lit room. Sae couldâve sworn that his heart stopped for a second. It must have. And you were the angel that brought him back to life. Because there was no other explanation to how refreshing and enchanting the ambience turned as soon as you entered the room.
You were just as nervous as he was. Having complained about your outfit while getting ready, on the way there and while you entered the truly fancy restaurant. You knew your life wasnât exactly boring, but this was not your typical every-day situation. I mean on a random Wednesday afternoon ? Truly not. But free food definitely sounded rewarding after reminding yourself of the hellish week you had covering for your friend. Now, what you didnât expect was seeing the familiar red-head next to the cute brunette who had asked your friend out.
Everyone knew Sae Itoshi. The reviver of Japanese football, a prodigy, a celebrity and supposedly the most unreachable man that was ever to exist with how packed his schedule was. So how the hell was Sae Itoshi in the same restaurant as you, at the same table on a random Wednesday afternoon. You had no idea and while you were freaking out about the whole situation, you werenât going to show it. That was the plan. Right before you made the most intense eye contact known to man with no one other than Sae.
Okay, now you were freaking out. How were his eyes so green ? How could you even focus on that from such a distance ? Why was he looking so much ? Also why does he seem so shocked ? Why isnât he looking away ? Why werenât you looking away ? All you knew was that this must be the love at first sight they talk in about every rom-com you have ever watched.
Before you realise, you were already nearing the table, eyes moving towards the brunette who immediately got up a smile on his face as he hugged your friend.
â hey there gorgeous, and __ if I remember right ? â he adds with a bright tone as he puts his hand out for you to shake.
You smile back unconsciously. Immedtaiely understanding why your friend was so excited about meeting him. He definitely had his fair share of charisma, however he did seem like the player type.
â itâs nice to meet you Aiku. â
There is a little more small conversation before Oliver decides to introduce Sae. As if anyone needed to. You think to yourself as your gaze turns towards the red-head.
â this is sae, my buddy. Itâs funny how all of our calendars clashed right ? â oliver says, putting his arm around sae as the red head eyes him with a look that just showed how done he was with the overly excited aiku.
â itâs all your faultââ sae begins pulling away from him before aiku shuts him up again.
â now, we should introduce yaâ guys right ? Sae this is __ , and __ this is Sae, he can be a little harsh but donât let that get to you thatâs just him. â
Sae yet again gives the man a pointed look before nodding a hello to your friend and turning to you. And why is time seemingly stopping again ?
â hey, itâs nice to meet you. â he says in possibly the softest tone youâve heard him speak tonight and was he turning red ?
â hi, itâs.. nice to meet you too. â you reply, matching the same tone and putting your hand out immediately regretting it after. God itâs gonna be so embarrassing heâs not gonna shake handsâ
But your train of thoughts is interrupted when you feel a much warmer hand touching yours. And you couldnât help your heart from doing flips at the small contact. His grip was firm and soft. Looks like those stupid magazines werenât exaggerating about that.
On the other hand Sae felt as if he was going to jump out of his chair. Your hand was soft and a little cold, but most of all it felt so fitting in his own. He couldnât help but get lost in the moment over the moon with the silly thought of making an excuse just to hold your hand longer.
Unbeknownst to you, this interaction was being eagerly watched by the two other people on the side of the table, who were giving each-other knowing smirks as if they knew this would happen at all.
â lover, remember the first time we met ? â
â hm, of course I do. I still love that colour on you. â
â did you realise we were kind of matching ? I mean the colours we were wearing. â
â Yes I did. And I couldnât be more glad of it that night. â
â it must have been fated for us to meet. â
Sae smiles back faintly before you guysâ moment is stopped by a phone ringing. Youâre both immediately out of it as Sae looks at the caller ID, pointing the phone in your direction as you both erupt in small laughter amongst yourself reading the screen.
Oliver.
