Thinking about how these words are so strong and how they resonate so well with how Santa wants to "redeem" himself qne save his sister. By playing this game, every single participant is a pawn whose life is danger, including his. It's a sacrifice to enable a wish to come true.

It's also in this ending that Santa mentions his sister, who also "had died" in the incinerator, as Snake and Ace end up dying too. The man behind her death, and the boy who went back with him to try and save Akane, 9 years ago.

I wonder if Santa had access to these words and how he felt about them. I know that only the true ending "technically" happened, but for the player every single ending carries some new information about the characters and a new insight about the story. Safe ending is one of the most powerful...

What would have happened in the newest "into the dark" update, if Steve had gotten drugged by manny at the club?

I STARTED TO ANSWER THIS AND I HAD A NICE LONG THING BUT THEN MY STUPID FUCKING LAPTOP GOT UNPLUGGED AND IT DIED ON ME!!!!

aight but back to this thought. if that happened, here’s what would happen. first, the drug manny was using would cause a unique combination of horny, confused, and uncoordinated. in between manny sidling up to steve on the dance floor, giving him the drug in the first place, and taking him upstairs, the drug kicks in, and steve gets v overwhelmed by this feeling of loose-limbed horniness. it does not relax him, though! and this baby has anxiety! he panics!

down the hall, bucky the human sniffer dog, detects steve’s freak-out scent right away and goes running to rescue his baby. manny gets a fist to the face, then a kick to the balls. or ten. manny then is natasha’s problem, and she gets creative in punishing him. bucky whisks poor stevie out of there and out of harm’s way. somebody tells darcy and peggy what happened and that bucky is taking steve home. bucky bundles steve up in a big coat, tucks him into the car, and takes him home. in the car, steve does throw a tantrum over not getting to sit in bucky’s lap, but he’s quelled easily when bucky lets him suck on his wrist. he’s much calmer when it’s just him and bucky in the car.

they get home and by then they’ve talked with a doctor (bruce, duh) about what this drug might be doing to steve, how long it might affect him, blah blah. steve’s body is bad at processing things, so out of the box, they figure give it like 36 hours and if it’s not passing through steve’s system, visit the emergency room. bc safety first.

at home, steve is more comfortable bc he feels safer, duh. at that point, he gets extra needy sex-kitten. extra needy sex-kitten. bucky has his hands full. once they’re home and bucky has some instructions on taking care of steve, they take the opportunity for what it is; basically, steve’s in heat again, but bucky isn’t rutting. it does take just like 20ish hours? for the drug to fade and after, steve’s just sleepy. but he’s okay overall bc of everybody’s quick actions. and bc bucky is a v protective sugar daddy.

what she means: in the safe ending snake and clover's parents had to lose their children after having them already get kidnapped and after snake almost died in an accident as a child. do they even ever find out what happened to them? does clover get a proper burial? is there enough left of snake to bury? or is do their children just disappear and they never get closure
