Here's the tea because none of my family members see my tumblr posts and I am pissed.

My family friend (my homie)'s mother passed away recently and had a 2-day funeral proceeding due to COVID-19. I can't go at all due to work, my growing fever, and not getting my COVID-19 results back yet from Monday. I'm usually a hermit, but to be on the safe side, I'm staying home.

A relative who pressured my dad into going to a funeral mass yesterday did not believe us today. She even went far as to say, "a birthday is every year, but a funeral is rare" when she remembered it was my sister's birthday yesterday. (This argument is how my dad was coerced to going to the mass. At least he was being safe about it.)

My parents and I went on Monday to take the COVID-test via drive thru and are still waiting for the results.

Damn, you could really tell who your true family is during a pandemic.

Safe Side // Nic & Daisy

With the holiday rush beginning to pick up, Daisy found herself at the flower shop much more often.  Orders were rushing in, which were great for business, but Daisy was so focused that she didn’t have much time outside of work.  One afternoon, however, one of her customers dropped by with a package that had been sitting at the store front. [x] After informing Daisy that the package was not a return from a customer but rather a package for her, the submissive frowned and accepted it.  She took a look at the simply-packaged parcel, finding that it was made out to her with no return address or signature or note or any sort of identification.  Too late to call back the delivery person, Daisy hesitantly placed it on her counter, unsure of what to do.  It was a rather suspicious thing to receive, with no note or anything...

Treading on the side of caution, Daisy called up Officer Nic, assuring him that there was no immediate danger but she would appreciate if he could stop by and check out the package.  And then she went on the rest of the day working, the package sitting behind her and lingering on her mind.  When she heard the bell ring on her door, she turned, ready to greet a customer, when she saw Nic.

“Hi, sir.  Th-thanks for coming by on such short notice.”

been ghosted before by a longtime friend and the thought of it happening again just hurts. I didn’t have a large friend circle beyond that too so it was a double whammy, and being afraid to like contact friends right is icing on the cake. my self confidence is garbage. To be fair most of the time I am okay but I just feel like my fuse is really short and stupid inconsequential stuff can trigger a downward spiral. I actually had a student scold me for not having positive vibes (I said something about throwing myself in the trash) and I’m still amazed that this girl somehow knew I needed a pep talk.
