You’ve been laying in this damn bed for the whole day, you’re sick of it. Your acolytes had banished you to bed rest after a small incident in Mondstadt and you were bored, your bones aches in being in the same sitting position for the past hour. You need to move and when you’re allowed to, you’ve got acolytes following you to the tee.
You turned around to see Ayaka’s figure behind you, her breath hitched as you turned to angrily stare at her. She immediately trembled, her lips quivered with fear and uncertainty as to what made you so angry at her.
“Are you…are you alright, your grace?” She whimpered out, it was the last straw for you, you blew up right in front of her. “No! I’m not alright! Stop following me around, give me a damn break—“ you scolded Ayaka with a strong voice, the cryo-wielder stepped back at your sudden outburst.
“Don’t you understand that even gods need space! You’re following me step by step and I’m sick of it!” You grabbed your locks, annoyed and angered.
Suddenly, someone had barged in, which made you turn your angered stare to them.
It was Diluc and Al Haitham, Diluc sported an uneasy expression as his companion just looked between you. Ayaka looked at Diluc, lips quivering before she burst out in tears, her legs could hold her wait as she dropped down, sobbing into her arms.
“Okay, okay..let’s get you out first.” Al Haitham instantly moved as soon as the first sob of Ayaka’s was let out, at the side of the girl in a few seconds. You looked at the situation with tiredness. You sighed and turned away from Ayaka, trying to pull away from even more acolytes.
“Your Grace. You can’t be yelling at your acolytes, they only want to help you—“ Diluc turned to you like a scolding father to his daughter. “Why can’t I? Why can’t I be angry? You say you only want to help, what part of stalking me through my own home is helping?” You accusingly retorted, Diluc was appalled at your rudeness.
Diluc was confused and rightfully so, his last memory of you was of elegance, you walked down the town of Mondstadt wearing the most sheen and silken clothing. Made from the best fabric anyone could find. You talked to children and even played with them.
Where was the God he saw that day?
“Your Grace, we’re here so you don’t have to lift a finger! You know this-“ He tried to reply to you when you scoffed, “I don’t want to be treated like a child, or- or someone who can’t do things for themselves. I’m a god! Not some frail human!” Your eyebrows furrowed in frustration, Diluc was not helping your situation, nor calming you down.
“Do you need any help, Diluc? The girl’s gone-“ Al Haitham peeked into the room, looking off to you with a small concerned frown. “Al Haitham, please, I need to talk to them, they’re upset and more acolytes in the room won’t fix that.” Diluc shook his head, looking off to you as you paced the room, trying to control yourself.
The clouds outside had turned to grey, it was sunny earlier. It was obvious it was your doing, more so, your emotions. Diluc needed to calm you and fast, before your anger turns to a flurry of frost.
“Your Grace. I understand your anger, but you must know, you need someone to take care of you.” You were shocked at what Diluc had implied, that even if you were perfectly capable of doing things yourself, that you must hand over that responsibility to someone else.
“Get out.” You pointed to the door, a storm of emotions brewed inside of you, mostly of anger and anguish at Diluc’s statement.
“Your Grace-“ Diluc tried to start. You threw the closest thing at him, a vase. The porcelain broke right next to him, making him turn and flinch, Diluc’s smooth skin was nicked by one of the glass pieces, the smooth red falling down his cheek.
Another reminder of why you’re being treated this way, why you’re different. “I said, get out!” You shouted, readying another piece of porcelain to throw at Diluc.
Diluc’s lips opened, then closed. He knew there was nothing else he could say to calm you down. So with an uncomfortable feeling, he simply nodded and bowed, before leaving you to drown in your anguish and despair.
He respected your decision, even if it meant that he had to ignore the wails and cries of yours as he walked away.
wjieiouwujjj that dragon creator ask was so cute, I love you for doing such a fantastic job writing that. Could I maybe ask for acolytes finding out that their creator with dragon features is absolutely living for any affection gestures like touching their tail, or the base of horns if they have ones, and is literally melting down into whoever who will do it. Maybe with Zhongli and any of Kamisato sibling? If the ask arent open, please just ignore it. Have a good day
Dragon!Reader Want Affection—Gib Now! >:(
Hello Anon! Don't worry—as I am currently writing this, my mailbox is open! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post with Dragon!Reader in it! I wish you too a good day/night :)
Alright, so how did it all begin? Well, Dragon!Reader, upon getting compliment thrown after compliment, started to feel a little...touched starve, to say the least. Sure, the compliments are cool and all—but it felt pretty empty, you know?
So! In solution to this, the Almighty Creator decided the next 3 acolytes to give them some affection would be the ones they would visit the most in the span of a few weeks (at most? A few months) in a straight row.
Of course, you didn't announce this to the world, wanting to see if your people would take initiative first to satisfy your needs and wants. That is, after all, what they had promised to do once you re-descended back down to Teyvat, yes?
Click Me For Part 1!
(Disclaimer: Might be OOC!)
Zhongli
Of course, out of everyone, he would be the first to notice this sudden change! He is a dragon himself, you know!
But, instead of deciding to give head pats out of the blue on the street, he decides to be a little more sly about it. So, naturally, he's going to invite you over to have some tea in the mountains. More specifically, his adeptal abode he still has.
"Please, wait a moment, Your Grace. I shall prepare the finest tea I have for you."
Once you get there, the first thing you get is a hug and a soft rustling of your hair. Zhongli is mindful to not hurt your dragon horns, of course. Man would never want to hurt you.
Sitting down at a table, enjoying some tea and talking about stuff, and the dude decides to pat you on the head for even the simplest of knowledge you share with him.
This guy understands what it's like to be a touched starved dragon, so he knows all the signs.
Man would be so ecstatic to realize the Almighty Creator is deciding to visit him as a "thank you" for the small amount of affection.
Prepare for a lot of hugs and head pats, this guy will make each of your visits worthy of your time.
Kamisato Ayato
This guy, this sly guy...He would honestly pull a gentleman move and give you a kiss on the back of hand when you decide to see him in the Kamisato Estate.
He probably figures out quickly that you want some physical affection, and, upon realizing that he figured it out, he decides to do it fast—something is telling him that the Almighty Creator is giving out some sort of trial.
Plus, he just wanted to make other people jealous that he gets your attention much longer than most others.
"Is something of the matter, Your Grace? Your face is red, if I dare to be blunt." Gives you that small smile of his that tells you he planned this all along. You sigh—this guy was as cheeky as ever.
Imagine how happy he was that he gets to give you more of these gentleman-like behavior since you're visiting for a few weeks straight in a row.
Would make sure no one gets close to you—Ayato wants to be selfish and greedy of your attention alone for a little longer.
Kamisato Ayaka
Tying this with the previous one, since Ayato and Ayaka basically live in the same estate and all that—Ayaka would be happy that the Almighty Creator is visiting them several weeks in a row.
She may or may not have just increased how many times you were going to spend in every Kamisato-owned place, for she had unintentionally hugged you once out of pure joy to seeing you at the front door.
"Your Grace, you're back! Please—allow me to see you in. Would you like some treats? I can have Thoma prepare you something." Genuinely acts like the best host you can ever ask for. She would make sure all of your needs are met.
You can just see the pure joy Ayaka is having of having you here in the estate. Ayato is also happy about it too, so it's a win-win situation for both of the Kamisato siblings. Besides, they don't like to actually fight each other (unless it's sparring), but they do tease one another often.
Enjoy your stay :) It's probably very worth it with Ayato's gentleman-ness and Ayaka's Good Hostess-ness.
And done! This is a whole lot shorter than I thought it would be, but I hope you all enjoyed it! See you around! :D
Ghost Rebel Side Notes: I feel like I made Ayato too OOC SOBBING—It probably is :') I'm so sorry Ayato Lovers—I have failed you—
Ahem, anyways—this post was certainly more of a challenge for myself! I'll be honest, I thought I was going to fail very miserably when I realized I had to do Zhongli and Ayato—and I'm still kind of feeling that as of right now tbh. I hope you like how it's written, Anon!

A/n: yall ayaya banner is extended! To celebrate, heres part two cuz that news gave me so much serotonin and inspiration xD
Summary: Ayaka and Ayato are worried that they are deemed useless because of your lack of presence. Meanwhile you were trying hard to gather their materials.
Warning: SAGAU, feelings of abandonment. (I think thats all)
When the golden star that she was desperately praying for finally landed into the palm of her hands, her knees fell to the floor as an overwhelming feeling of warmth and happiness filled her. Both of the Kamisato siblings looked at each other and embraced as they tried to comfort each other through their sobs. At that moment they felt as if all the hardships that they went through were lifted from their shoulders. All the burden, stress, and sadness suddenly dissipated as they felt their creator celebrate with them. Everything was finally alright especially with the divine creator’s guidance.
As the days went by, nothing really happened in the lives of Ayato and Ayaka. They have heard the stories of other vision holders how when they first gotten their golden star they had this urge to move. Their bodies move on their own as they travel through teyvat, not knowing where they were being led too. They all knew it was the divine creator’s doing. The golden star is the symbol of being chosen as a vessel for their grace. They also heard the story of somehow feeling more stronger as the divine creator used them as a vessel. Some even were gifted weapons that were beyond a mortals ability to craft. This made both of the Kamisatos worried. They weren’t able to feel all those feelings that every vessel has felt. Their bodies never had the urge to just run around. The didn’t feel any stronger. They weren’t gifted a weapon like some of the lucky vision holders did. The creator had never used them as a vessel like the others.
Word got out that the Kamisato siblings were blessed by the almighty creator but yet to be used as a vessel. This garnered hostility and harsh judgement to the siblings. To the eyes of the people, they were seen as failures.
‘The creator has probably deemed them useless. What an embarrassment.’ Are the words the people spat at them. The siblings could only hang their heads low as they walked the streets, trying to do what they always did before they were blessed by their God. They felt nothing. Just emptiness with the idea of being deemed useless by their beloved God.
You, on the other hand, were having a problem. Its been days since you were able to get both of the siblings. You were excited to try them out but then you were reminded that you haven’t farmed for any of their materials. You tried to farm for the materials like how you farmed your primogems. But when you start to load the domain that both siblings needed, a text would pop up saying the characters you were using are not available. You kept groaning as you tried and tried again. Your Xiao was unavailable because he was tasked to find you. Zhongli was unavailable because he was busy searching for you also. Even your Childe and Diluc are busy because they were also searching for you. The game wouldn’t let you take these characters in a domain because they were all searching for you!
You sighed as you tried your best to enter a domain with amber but still no avail. Amber was busy scouting the woods of Mondstadt in search of you. You were at your wits end. You were honestly irritated that you couldn’t even play genshin to pass the time. It was as if the game wants you to show yourself to your acolytes. Yeah… no thanks.
You stood up from the bed you were laying on and stretched. You were lucky to find a new abandoned house that had a bed and some other furniture. You placed your phone into your pocket and started walking towards the domain you’ve been desperately wanting to enter. If your phone won’t let you then you’ll do it yourself.
It took a while before you can reach the domain where Ayato and Ayaka’s talent books were located. Teyvat sensed you determination and helped you walk over to the tiny island. Cryo slimes also walked near you to maintain the ice bridge that Teyvat has provided for you. The moon in the night sky shined as if to provide you some light for you to see where you were walking. The pyro slime in your hands tried to burn brightly without harming you so it can also help you navigate your way through the ice bridge. You smiled as you looked at the efforts of these slimes. It was adorable.
When you reached the domain you didn’t hesitate to open the door. But as you get near the door, vines suddenly blocked your path to open the door. Teyvat doesn’t want you to get injured inside. You groaned as you were getting irritated again. You just want to finally build your 2 new character but Teyvat wasn’t letting you. The ground rumbled as it responded to your emotions. Teyvat removed the vines immediately and sent a gentle breeze as if to say sorry. Teyvat didn’t want to anger the creator. The slimes also snuggled in your legs as if to say sorry.
“You guys…” you sighed as you pat the slimes. “its okay. I’m just not in a great mood.”
You stood up after petting the slimes and went in the domain with no hesitation. You were honestly nervous. You don’t have any combat skills in your mind. The best thing you can only do is throw the slimes to the enemies that you are about to fight. You were slightly regretting your decision to fight a domain. As you reached the key in the middle, you inhaled sharply and touched it. The key disappeared and countless of nobushi and treasure hoarders appeared around you. You were ready to be beaten up that was until you saw all of them bow down to you.
“Your grace! What is it that we can do for you.” You stood there dumbfounded as you remembered ‘oh yeah… I’m a God here.’ You snapped out of your thoughts and signaled them to rise up to which the enemies followed with no hesitation. “Uhh I’m in a quest to gather some materials… do you think you can help me in getting these?” You asked as you showed them a list. The men looked through your list and wasted no time to gather them. You were shocked as they managed to bring everything that you needed with no trouble. You were seated at a chair made of vines provided by Teyvat as you watched as the nobushi and treasure hoarders come back with countless of materials you needed. Heck they even managed to make the mechanical array to provide you the mats needed for Ayaka. Everyone will literally give you anything you wanted just because you were their creator. After an hour or so, you were handed a sack filled with the items you needed. The slimes managed to carry it. They wouldn’t want their creator to strain their muscles. You thanked the nobushi and treasure hoarders that worked hard for you, to which they just said that it was their honor to provide for you. With that, you went your way towards your place in Narukami island.
After taking a bath (Teyvat providing you some beautiful clothes that you don’t know where they are from), you realized that the items that you got for the siblings weren’t equipping. The game won’t let you do what you wanted to do again.
‘You can’t equip this item because it is currently not in your inventory’ the words popped in your phone. You were confused because it is in your inventory. Is it because you obtained it physically? You didn’t know. You just frowned and took the heavy sack in your hands and started walking. Just like before, if the game won’t let you then you’ll do it on your own.
Ayato was having some tea as he relished the cool breeze of the night. The day was mentally exhausting for him and his sister. As the yashiro commisioner, he was trained to keep a straight face. But that doesn’t mean that the words thrown at him didn’t hurt in the slightest. It hurts, largely at that. He closed his eyes as he tried to feel his God’s presence. Maybe tonight will be the night. But as he tries hard to search for any warmth, there was none. Was he truly abandoned by his God? These thoughts swirled his mind that he didn’t even realize that the guards outside the gate suddenly bowed. He was only brought out of his thoughts when a hand gently placed itself in his shoulder. Shocked at the sudden touch, he turned to look at whoever touched him only to be left speechless as he couldn’t believe who was in front of him.
“Your Grace?!” Ayato exclaimed as he immediately bowed down. You smiled as you gently nudged him to stand up. “You didn’t abandon me?” Ayato said with a voice that broke your heart. You never imagined to hear such voice leave Ayato. “Who said i abandoned you?” You asked as you hauled the heavy sack that you were struggling to take to bring to their estate. When you finally were able to put the sack on the table you turned to Ayato and handed him the materials that he needed to become more powerful. Ayato accepted these items with a confused look. But when the items touched his fingertips he was immediately filled with the same warmth and the items turned into golden dust that surrounded him. ‘Was this what the other felt?’
You smiled as you looked at Ayato. Finally happy that you were able to build him, even though you literally had to go to him. Once you noticed Ayato’s tears rolling down, you were quick to wipe them. You held his face and smiled as he was still overwhelmed with the sudden emotions he was experiencing. Once he had collected himself, he sat up straight and coughed a bit. “Thank you for believing in me, your grace. I won’t let you down.” His face tinted with a soft pink hue. You smiled and stood up, sack in your hand. Ayato feared that you were going to leave. Not so soon. He hasn’t worshipped you yet. He hasn’t provided you anything yet.
“Your grace!” Ayato exclaimed. You turned around and faced him. “Would you like to stay here? It would be an honor to be able to serve and provide you everything that you are deserving of.” He bowed and closed his eyes. He didn’t want to see his God’s face when they reject his offer. You hummed as you think and smiled. “Sure.” Ayato’s head looked up and saw your smiling figure. It filled his heart with warmth to see you smile like that.
“As long as you don’t tell anyone outside the yashiro comission of me being here, ill stay as long as I’m welcomed.” Ayato stood up at those words, a smile plastered on his face. “I can sure you, your grace. You will always be welcomed here.” Ayato then reached out for your hand and littered it with kisses. You blushed hard as you try to hide your face away. This is going to be interesting.
“Oh by the way.” You said, making Ayato look at you. “I would like to see Ayaka.” You held the sack up. “I would like to give her these.” To which Ayato nodded.
As the guards patrolled around the estate, they heard the cry of the shirasagi himegimi alongside the giggle of their divine creator. They were at ease to know that finally, their masters weren’t abandoned by their divine creator.
My abyss comp is my main team, its Ayaka, Barbara, Diluc and Noelle tho Ayaka and Barbara carry the team most of the time...
STARS IN THE ABYSS genshin!sagau
notes // hi ^^ thank you for the request, i hope you like it <3 also, i know the pain of only one or two characters carrying while the rest is just decoration 😭 cough razor cough cough
navigation // stars in the abyss
Ayaka
Ayaka would hate and fear the abyss with all her heart and soul. Yet she doesn't show it. Even now, fighting in the abyss with people she doesn't know, she will not lose her face and with that of the Kamisato Clan.
But once she gets to know the other people with her stuck in the abyss, fighting monsters and other kinds of beings she shouldn't be fighting, she shows a bit more emotions. All of them fear the abyss, any normal human being does, but they are in it together.
She likes the people of Mondstadt and gets to know them outside of fighting in the abyss.
Barbara
Barbara doesn't want to be in the abyss at all. The first time she was there she prayed to Lord Barbatos. But her lord didn't help when Diluc was injured, so she steeled her nerves and healed him in the in the middle of deadly combat.
Once she got out, she brushed up her healing abilities, not wanting anyone on her new team hurt. She also looked a bit into combat abilities, asked Noelle and even Diluc for help and pointers.
She too hates and fears the abyss, but her fear of the possibility that one of her teammates won't come out let's her forget that.
Diluc
Diluc... Diluc would very much like to scream at Venti. It has to be his fault he's stuck in the abyss regularly, right?
Like most, Diluc is very wary of the abyss, but he doesn't outright fear it. Sure, he's careful and watching his steps, yet his worries for the younger girls are much bigger.
He sees it as his responsibility to bring all of them back home, he's the oldest after all. He will never forgive himself if he ever loses anyone in the abyss, not on his watch.
Noelle
Noelle tries to hide her fear and does it well, determined to help her teammates and not to waver against the many waves of enemies coming at them.
Sometimes she feels useless, watching how Ayaka, the high born girl from Inazuma and Barbara defeat their enemies left and right, but she reminds herself of her uses too. Her shield lasts long and strong, more than once she has saved the lifes of her teammates.
Leaving the abyss is always met with relief- relief of surviving the literal hell, relief of coming back home, relief that her friends still live. It's her duty as a maid, to assist and help, but also her duty as a knight, to protect.
Outside of the abyss, the three vision holders of Mondstadt get closer and met up regularly. They send letters to Ayaka, since she's nations away. But they're making plans to meet, maybe one day, the'll see each other outside of the abyss- all four of them.
the thoma one, god i love him. what a sweetheart :') but like.......what would happen if we went to the kamisato estate with him. and like. the siblings caught us. would they be on our side or would ayato call for our arrest immediately. would thoma still try to help us once he realized or does his loyalty override that. i am dying to know 👀
silent conclusions
summary: the kamisato estate is welcoming, thoma and ayaka are kind, ayato is… ayato.
word count: exactly 4000. very cool
-> warnings: spoilers for inazuma archon quest, exactly one (1) swear word, ayato is a little shit (affectionate), if your name is maple uh… whoops?
@yoshikuno and @alexteea asked for part threes- sorry if you didn’t wanna be tagged

teleport waypoints, despite being incredibly convenient, take large tolls.
the moment your feet were on solid ground again you reached, latching onto the closest person as your vision swam with vertigo. bile rose in your throat once more, exacerbating your nausea. though you managed to wash out some of the saltwater with the tea—shockingly sweet, from what you remember of green tea—it still soaked your tongue.
two people are talking, voices just out of focus, and the person you grabbed sets their hand over yours.
you’re thankful they give you a moment’s pause, and you take deep breaths. slowly, the stone beneath you is less blinding, and you can see that you’re outside the kamisato estate. the white and purple walls are tall, imposing, two guards stationed in front of the entrance. it looks like light security, but you figure nobody could be bold enough to try anything anyways.
you pull your hand from your support, hoping your gaze show your apology as you look at-
ayato?
he glances at you, eyes flicking over you once before returning to his talk with hisashi.
oh fuck.
thoma appears from your other side and takes you by the arm, walking for the entrance to the estate. “come on, let’s get you inside.”
you follow in a daze, still thrown off by the fact that you grabbed the arm of the yashiro commissioner after teleporting. you’re certain that most people would be knocked off in an instant—or worse—if not by him then by those around. you can’t tell which is more shocking: the fact that he didn’t seem upset afterwards, or that hisashi let you get so close in the first place.
the courtyard is full of life, plants lining the outer edge and the raised patio-like platform in the middle. the various workers around the area stare a little more at you than you’d like, but since thoma is besides you they don’t give you much trouble. the emblem of the kamisatos ripples on the flags they’re printed on, moved by a silent breeze.
the guards in front of the door eye you with more suspicion, and step inwards over the door as you approach, spears crossing in an X. thoma’s steps halt unnaturally, and you can see confusion on his face out of the corner of your eye.
“who is with you, retainer?”
“er…”
right. ayato had directed the conversation at the teahouse to your charges, not to you. you never got a chance to tell your name—not that you would have told the truth, incase history tried to repeat itself.
“the commissioner has employed new help,” he said, wisely keeping back the part where you were being hidden from the shogunate. “i am to show them to their quarters.”
the guard’s eyes narrow further, and you can’t find it in yourself to blame them. you don’t look fit for work by a long shot, let alone for somebody as prestigious as the kamisatos.
“come on souta, when have i ever been untrustworthy? the commissioner himself is just behind us, if you don’t-“
the door behind the guards slid open and they rushed not to block the way, glancing first at each other and then to the open doors.
ayaka is standing in the open doorway, barely-concealed curiosity evident in her eyes. in one hand is a fan that covers the lower half of her face, the carefully painted design matching her eyes.
your mind flashes back to when you were introduced to her, when she was sitting behind a screen and thoma said that that was the traditional way to greet guests, or something similar. sure, you’re less of a guest and more… maybe blackmailed is a little too harsh of a word, perhaps more coerced-
“m- my lady?” thoma steps forward, tugging you behind him, and you can’t tell if it’s meant to be protective towards you or her. “what are you doing out here?”
“indeed, it is rather rare for you to be out. i told you i was bringing home somebody, ayaka.” ayato’s voice once more comes out of nowhere, and you turn to see him and hisashi walking up. the latter looks more tense than you’ve ever seen him, and you don’t blame him. considering ayato gave a… warning..
…wait a minute-
“it’s well past when you said you would return,” ayaka points out, voice far more diplomatic than you’d expect from a conversation between siblings. “is it wrong of me to go for a stroll?”
an odd expression flashes over ayato’s face, but it melts into acceptance quicker than you’d expect. “that is fair. i apologize. negotiations took longer than expected.”
you have to bite your tongue to keep from saying something smart in return. the threat of salt also helps, but not nearly as much as the fear of angering him.
something like a laugh comes from ayaka, but you refrain from turning. even if you’re ‘allowed’ to, it feels polite. also, you really don’t want to upset ayato. after everything he’s done, he feels like the largest threat.
(your mind reminds you of how kind his hand was when it settled over yours outside of the estate. you arrive at the conclusion that ayato is strange.)
“come in, then. hisashi, you are dismissed.”
hisashi bows, then sends a questioning look at ayato. the latter nods, and the former turns neatly on his heel, leaving with barely a sound to his footsteps.
thoma pulls at your hand again and you turn to follow, keeping your eyes on his shoes. you figure it’s better not to snoop or get distracted, and considering thoma’s following ayaka…
ayato’s eyes weigh on your shoulders as you walk.
for the second time today, you’re sat in front of tea you have no intent drinking.
it’s smells a little more flowery, and you think you remember catching the word rose, but that could very well be referring to the flower arrangement in the center of the table.
they’re nice. pale pink, in a soft green vase. they still have their thorns, surprisingly, a detail that distracts you from the conversation happening at the table.
first, ayato filled in ayaka on your conversation at the teahouse. second, ayaka asked for thoma’s recount of how you met. third… third you had zoned out, distracting yourself with the details of rose petals.
“-what do you think?”
you jump slightly at thoma’s voice, the sound closer than before and obviously directed at you. glancing around the table reveals no indication of the former conversation, only two other sets of eyes. soft silver looks with genuine feelings, and pale lavender looks a little too smug for your liking.
the latter picks up his teacup. “we’re assuming you don’t want to reveal your name,” he says, taking a drink. you wish his gaze wasn’t so knowing.
nonetheless, you nod.
“thoma was considering maple, since it’s a pretty neutral name.” wait, what did you just agree to? “it’s not inazuman, but it’s also not anything else either. it’s.. an interesting choice, considering its also the name of a tree common on narukami, but i believe it will hide you nicely.”
oh. that’s better than you thought, considering who it’s coming from.
you give a half-shrug and a nod in response, the pen under your hand not worth picking up for such a simple reply.
“well, maple,” ayaka pauses, but the name doesn’t sound awful, and you let her continue, “thoma can show you around, and you’ll start either tomorrow or the day after, depending on how long it takes you to get used to the place.”
sounds reasonable enough. you nod, and thoma speaks up next, nudging your notepad.
“do you have any preferences for where you’d like to work? i’ll keep you out of anything involving a lot of other people-“ you send him a silent thank you “-but just so i know…”
you pick up the pen and write down your choices, hesitating at the bottom before adding ‘but anything’s fine if you’re there.’ is it cheesy? probably, but he’s the person you’re most comfortable around here. he’s been nothing but open and kind, and doesn’t have a reputation to uphold or an agenda to fulfill.
he reads over the paper when you pass it to him, and a quiet pride comes over you as he flushes a bit at your end comment.
“a- alright then! i’ll show you around today, you can shadow me tomorrow, and the day after we can finalize things. sound good?”
you nod, and neither of the kamisato siblings have anything to add either, both silently showing their approval.
you feel yourself smile.
thoma’s work is surprisingly simple.
not that it was easy, of course, because what else would you expect working for a third of inazuma’s government, but it’s… shockingly simple.
he’d warned you the night before that you’d need to wake early, but he wasn’t angry when you didn’t wake up on time. he seemed upset, almost, regret lacing his words as he tugged you out of bed. even as you delayed him further by struggling with the uniform—the nightclothes were easy enough, but this one had so many folds and ties that you got lost embarrassingly quickly—he wasn’t upset. he just led you to the kitchens, where he explained every step of how the lord and lady liked their teas.
ayato prefers black tea, he says, carefully measuring out loose leaves. he takes it with no sugar, and as hot as it can be.
ayaka has been trying new teas from liyue, he mumbles, voice quieter than he intends to be as he stirs in honey. she’s quite fond of dragon’s well, but anything from there will do. feel free to experiment, just be sure it’s not too sweet.
he shows you their respective offices, and you wince at the amount of paperwork on both of their desks. they both greet you with a smile, but you can see how tired they are. absently, you wonder if that same exhaustion is why ayato likes black tea.
thoma’s interactions with them are short, and you waste no time in following him to his next task.
the day passes by easily, thoma’s easy conversation—despite your hoarse voice—easing the load of the work. floors are swept and shelves are dusted, and when he quizzes you on their tea preferences at dinnertime you get it right on the first try.
he beams from his post at the stovetop, bright green eyes shining in the same way dew does on grass. you feel your own smile form in response, and he makes you sit and wait while he delivers dinner—yes, to their offices—no matter how much you protest. he returns swiftly, pulling over a pot that you didn’t realize wasn’t empty and ladling out two bowls of soup.
he slides one over to you, and together you share dinner.
the next day is much the same, as is the next, and the next, and you slowly fall into a routine.
you wake up, the knots on the uniform more familiar than they were at the start, a simple way to start a simple morning. you tidy yourself up and meet thoma on the way to the kitchens, chatting about a dream you had the night before or a diplomat that had arrived yesterday for a meeting. water bubbles and you share a breakfast, the two of you preparing tea side by side.
today you decide to make ayaka a new king of oolong tea that had just come in a few days prior. after all the various security screenings, you could finally make it!
thoma encourages you to take the large platter this time, and you comply, however nervous. you’re watching it more than you are the hallway, making sure that nothing spills, and it pays off when you make it to ayaka’s office without incident.
she looks up with a smile as you come in, and you flash one of your own as you set down the large plate.
“good morning, lady ayaka.”
“good morning, maple. how did you sleep?”
you eye the bags under her eyes as you push over her teacup. “i should be asking you that, my lady.”
she chuckles, picking up the cup for a smell. “this doesn’t seem familiar.. what kind of tea is this?”
thoma looks to you from where he’s sorting out a stack of scrolls, and you recite the information off the box.
“it’s tieguanyin, also known as iron goddess, and is a type of liyuen oolong. it seemed sweet by the smell, so i didn’t put much honey in.”
her smile turns sweeter, an oddly genuine happiness taking you by surprise. “thank you.”
there’s a weight to her words, some other information tucked between the lines that you can’t reach. with a smile and a nod, you pick up your tray.
ayato’s office is strangely far from his sisters, something that confused you the first day and still does now. the only difference is that now you’re familiar with the sprawling layout of the estate, and you can take the right turn without missing it.
he’s much more tired, evident by the delay between when he sees you and speaks.
“maple, thoma. good morning.”
your hand paused over his teacup. ayaka… she hadn’t greeted thoma, had she?
you’re fairly certain there’s an implication there, something that ties into the heaviness of her voice when she thanked you, but you don’t have time to think it over. thoma nudges your side and you snap out of your thoughts, moving ayato’s tea and breakfast off the tray.
“is something wrong?”
you shake your head. “no. something.. caught my attention. i apologize, my lord.”
he picked up the cup with a grin, “oh? i do hope you’re not trying to pry into any yashiro documents.”
you shake your head and he drinks, but thoma catches your arm as you turn to leave. his lips part, something worried shining in his eyes, but ayato cuts him off.
“what is this?”
oh no.
ayato’s black tea was easy to brew, tea wise, and with thoma watching over your shoulder you had assumed it wasn’t burnt.
the housekeeper seems just as confused, the both of you turning back to ayato’s desk. he’s staring at the tea in his cup thankfully not with disdain, but certainly with confusion.
“it’s wakoucha, my lord,” you say. “no sugar. hot as can be.”
“is it a new kind?”
“it’s from the same box as yesterday’s, and all of last week’s.”
he looks to thoma, who nods. “the only difference is that maple brewed it.”
ayato’s eyes flick between the tea, thoma, and you, still not accusatory, for which you’re grateful. you’re not sure you could hide from poisoning the yashiro commissioner as easily as you could hide in liyue.
“…here.”
the cup is passed to thoma, who hesitates before trying some. he’s easier to read than ayato—most anybody is—and you can pick out the emotions in his eyes clearer. shock, delight, and then a careful sort of confusion.
“it’s very strong, though the flavor is perfectly intact… even without sugar, it’s still sweet.” you don’t know enough about tea to discern what that means. “but how? i was watching you the whole time…”
you’re tempted to say something stupid—‘well, i hear that nightshade can be pretty sweet’—but wisely hold your tongue, watching the cup return back to ayato’s hands. he stares at the rim of it for a moment, then a flicker of a smile crosses his face.
“well done,” is all he says, and after another sip, the cup is set down in favor of his pen, the prior conversation dissolving back into the air with nothing more than a glance. “and if you two are planning on going to the city today, do stay away from the docks.”
“are the tenryou receiving a shipment?”
“nothing of the sort, thoma, what do you mean? what reason would i have for directing you away from them?” ayato looks up from his paper, some stupid little scheme glinting in his eyes. “i’ve just received news from the shuumatsuban that the imposter is likely in the area.”
you can’t help the way your shoulders tighten, the office suddenly seeming smaller. though you had admitted as little as you could about why you were hiding from the shogunate, you had never brought up their accusations on this front. intentionally, too, because you knew that no matter how kind anybody could be, religion was a heavy topic in teyvat, inazuma especially.
and when you were staring down a man that held loyalty in high standard, it was wise not to admit such a thing.
the corner of ayato’s lips twitch into a smile. “do be careful, maple. i’d hate for you to get caught up in another incident.”
you cling closer to thoma’s side than you normally would when you two go into the city, your hand linked with his as he speaks with the various vendors. you’re not sure why you two are even in ritou, honestly, but didn’t bother with asking questions.
he’s speaking with a kanjou officer, which he’d addressed by name, oddly, and you’re standing behind him, looking around the city. the maple trees are a pretty pink for spring, making the island look a lot kinder. sure, the outlander affairs agency likely still has the area in a chokehold, and sure it’s run by a literal puppet government, but something could be said about its beauty.
“what do you think about lunch?” thoma asks, and you look back in alarm only to see the kanjou officer long gone, his eyes focused on you.
ah.
“we’re gonna be out for most of the day, and there’s a little food stall here that i like. granted, we could eat at shimura’s…”
you shake your head, “here’s fine, thanks.”
he brightens, pulling you along once more. “great! ryouko makes the best dry-braised fish, or she has fried tofu in a miso broth, if you’d rather?”
you make and tell him your choice, and he nods as you walk down sets of stairs, making note of it. people wave at you two as you pass, and though it’s mostly at thoma, you do see some smiles directed at you. probably just because you’re with him, though.
thoma leads you to the left of the main courtyard, taking you down another small set of stairs. it’s… familiar, the tree behind the sidewalk reminding you of something you can’t pin.
“hello ryouko!”
“hello, and welcome! care to have some specialty snacks?”
you keep a hand on his as you look around, letting him order for you. the food stall was backed against a wall, in a tucked away corner, near the port… if you turned so that you faced the staircase, it clicked.
this was where you met thoma. it was months later, at a wildly different time of day, and you were in a much better place… but you were back here. back when he held your hand much as he did now, in a drastically different context but for much of the same reasons.
guidance. security. promise.
comfort.
“first time in the city?”
you turned to the close voice, jumping slightly when you see the owner. maroon hair shadows grassy eyes, ones that seem to pick you apart—much like ayato, but a lot less subtle. the blue of an anemo vision shines behind the baton of a doushin, and you can feel your heart stop as you face down the best detective in inazuma.
you tug on thoma’s hand and he turns as well, apparently recognizing him. “doushin shikanoin? what are you doing out here?”
heizou crosses his arms with a heavy sigh, some of the tension in the air fading as his eyes fall to the floor. “on ritou, a failed mission. here in particular… well, ryouko’s one of the only in inazuma that makes a good katsu sandwich, and i’m in the market for a pick-me-up.”
“really? what happened? do you want eat with us and talk about it?”
“no no, please. there’s no need to interrupt your little excursion on behalf of little ol’ me.”
what is it with inazuman men with blue visions that makes them adore implying things most would rather say aloud?
“well we’ve got time while our food’s being made, don’t we?”
“mmm…” one of heizou’s hands comes up to his jaw as he thinks, tapping a steady beat. “i suppose i can tell you. after all, it was your boss that tipped me off.”
oh no. who could have ever seen that coming.
“ay- ah, i mean the commissioner?”
“indeed. you see, he’s been using his connections to keep the tenryou updated as best as he can, something any detective would appreciate, even if sometimes the information can be a bit lackluster. recently, he’s gotten a tip that the imposter was planning to leave inazuma tonight through ritou’s port, and madam sara sent me out to check it out. i, of course, looked over his evidence prior to coming, and though it was a little shaky, it’s the best lead we’ve had so far. i even heard from some fishermen that they saw somebody shady boarding a merchant boat, but… no dice.”
thoma’s grip on your hand adjusts, and he squeezes once. you don’t have much time to think it over. “i’m sorry to hear it. i can promise that we’re putting all of our effort into solving the situation as best as we can, and i regret letting them slip from our grasp.”
his voice lacks the usual depth behind it, like… like it’s rehearsed, almost. like he was prepared for this.
heizou’s eyes flick to you, jade green seeming to cut into your soul. “oh, naturally. this is such a pity, don’t you agree?”
subtext laces his words, and you’re left floating in the pause between his sentences. even as it stretches, his mouth slips up in a suppressed grin.
“after all, weren’t you the one who told him?”
you blink.
you didn’t do that. you didn’t tell ayato anything, you never even left the estate unless thoma—or, on occasion, ayaka—was by your side. you never had time to collect information, and you certainly didn’t give it to ayato- didn’t he say that the shuumatsuban gave it to him? didn’t he…
’i’ve just received news from the shuumatsuban that the imposter is likely in the area.’
’he’s been using his connections to keep the tenryou updated as best as he can, something any detective would appreciate…’
‘after all, weren’t you the one who told him?‘
you can see when heizou notices that you get it, the sharp light to his knowing gaze. he rests his chin in his hand and passes you a cheeky wink, one that makes you laugh.
Hello sjhsja so I just had a little brainrot after reading Ur kamisato siblings part 2 ehe
So as revenge (kinda) to all the ppl who made fun of Ayaka and ayato what if reader just walked around inazuma and like- showed a lot of PDA with them (?)
Like- they'd purposefully walk up to the stall of whoever said they were abandoned while holding hands or smth idk I just wanted to share this idea ehehhehee >:D
OMG YES
Tho it might take a while since God!Reader wants to be silent about their presence in inazuma. So while in those silent stages i imagine that the hate and judgement would get so big that even the shogun will comment about the kamisatos being a disgrace. But ayato and ayaka wont be bothered because they know that you didn’t abandon them. In fact, you enjoy their company especially when you all play thoma’s hotpot game.
Imagine ayato and ayaka going by their normal routine of being slandered (bonus points if the shogun is also there) and then suddenly you swoop in and hold their hands with a smile, dragging them off to the komore teahouse to have some fun. (And also shooting those people and the shogun a glare because how dare they disrespect your two favorite people!)
The look on everyone’s face will be a mix of shock and horror as they realized that they disrespected your chosen vessels, your favorite ones at that. The shogun will probably kneel while you pay no mind to her cries and focus on buying ayato a boba tea combination that you think he will like. The first person to say the siblings were a disgrace will be also kneeling to the ground begging forgiveness as they got shunned for even uttering those words towards your favorite acolytes.
The siblings will only feel more love as you show them affection in public. They won’t care if anyone sees it. They will shamelessly enjoy the affection you give them. Reputation be damned. And you won’t also care.
I saw ayato max friendship it was pretty good! can you do an ayaka max friendship one?:)

warnings // hints of god!reader
Kamisato Ayaka lived and breathed with a deep-rooted respect and love for the gods of Inazuma. They were the protectors of her people, of her home and with that no one had to guess, but out of all these gods, she loved the Raiden Shogun the most.
Powerful, all mighty, eternal. The Electro Archon and Goddess of Eternity, the Raiden Shogun. Long she has protected Inazuma, with her watchful gaze keeping guard over Inazuma and her sharp blade keeping enemies away.
Both she and her brother were very religious, yet she knows, she always had put more trust in her gods than Ayato. And that was alright. After all, prayers were something private on Inazuma. Naturally, there are festivals and other traditions followed by all islands of the Nation, yet one does not loudly proclaim their love and duty to their chosen god.
Another tradition, people of Inazuma wore their beliefs- their chosen gods close to and with them. Often beneath the many layers of clothes and armor, yet most never left their house without a small blessing. A bracelet, a chain or blessed cord around their ankles or wrists. A sign, even if it was small, to show their faith.
Just like every other Inazuman and child of the Kamisato clan, she too wears small blessings. The only one she never takes off is that of the Shogun.
But then the Vision Hunt Decree was ordered, by their very own god, and war grazed the nation. Some might say it was nothing but a few fights and skirmish between two factions, but to Ayaka it was war.
War with herself, her own beliefs and her duty as a citizen of Inazuma, a daughter of the Kamisato clan and a vision holder. The first time in her life she took off her bracelet.
Lives were destroyed, visions dimmed and the people were lost. She knew she couldn't loudly proclaim her agreement of the rebels, she couldn't leave her brother alone, in this political and physical war.
But hope was not lost and the traveler helped with the end of the war. And yet... and yet she never felt more hopeless, never more useless. What help had she been during the war? What had she actually done when sorrow hit the people of Inazuma?
Oh, she did her duty, she planned the festivals, traditional feasts and all the other things she had to do as a Kamisato. She hid fleeing vision holders and housed them, but did all of this actually help?
Ayaka knew she couldn't get swallowed by self pity, that wouldn't help her nor others. So she started to train more, to get her frustration out and feel a bit more useful. After all, if she trained and became stronger, she could become more helpful and with that useful.
Her own training grew harsher, with both her sword and vision. It was only natural her strength grew with time, it was actually her goal. Her own strength and power, build with tears and sweat. She was proud, proud of herself and she knows she will make the Kamisato clan proud as well.
But then her power didn't stop growing, even if it should have a limit. Ayaka was no god, or immortal warrior, no- she was human, a human vision holder. But her strength, her power, her control over her cryo vision grew and grew, reaching new highs.
And when she started hearing the voice? Ayaka didn't know what to think, what to feel. Have the gods not left her yet?
Slowly but surely she came to appreciate the voice, the guiding and soft words, praising her strength and swordsmanship, as well her other talents.
It became normal to her, no longer did she feel frightened or unsure about the voice. Her heart soared everytime when the voice spoke up, spoke to her. And if she started praying to a new god, who could stop her? After all, praying to the gods was a private affair here in Inazuma.
so this is for the abyss team comp thingy- my usuals are venti, ayaka, kokomi, and traveler,, im kinda interested in what kokomi and venti would do ngl HAHAH
STARS IN THE ABYSS sagau!genshin
notes // hey hey hey anon!! thank you sm for requesting, i just love how this series is very well received with everyone :D i hope i can satisfy your curiosity <33 i used they/them for the traveler since you didn't specify which one you're using, i hope this is alright :)
navigation // stars in the abyss
Venti
He doesn't like the abyss, not only because the beings of the abyss hurt his friend, but being forced to fight in it cuts his time in the tavern short. And he doesn't like that at all.
He will do his best to assist his fellow adventurer in the abyss, and it's quite interesting to get to know the two inazuman girls. Both of them are powerful vision holders and he's glad he's not completely alone in this.
But, he has to say, he is also very glad the Traveler is with him. They are powerful and their talent to use three elements... is quite helpful. Yet he can't help to brag a little, his winds are always a bit harsher and more harmful in the abyss.
Ayaka
Ayaka would like to ask why she's here, and if this is some kind of punishment. For what, she doesn't know, but it has to be! Why else should she be fighting in the abyss?
Other than that, she can finally go out (and isn't this a bit of a relief, her fear of hurting others with her strength doesn't make much sense in the abyss). Over the several times visiting the abyss, or well, getting forced to fight there, she slowly became smarter in her use of her cryo vision.
But she also got closer to Kokomi, whom she hadn't actually known that well before that. Of course, rebelling against the Raiden Shogun somewhat connected them, but fighting side by side bonds them much closer.
Kokomi
Kokomi is very wary of the abyss. Too many strange things had happened to and around her lately and fighting in the abyss definitely counts as a strange thing.
Luckily, her combat skills haven't lost their edge, still sharpened from the front lines of the Rebellion she lead. And while she could do a fair amount of damage, she is takes her role as the healer of her group very seriously.
In private she muses about the strange group, Venti the drunken bard, Ayaka and the Traveler, all of them strong vision holders, yet many can't help to underestimate them. Maybe that's why they were brought together?
the Traveler
They hate the abyss with all their heart. Not only had it taken their sibling, but also deny the contact to them. It's unfair and they just want to scream. At the universe, at the unknown goddess, at the abyss. Anything responsible for them being here is fine.
Besides that, they're happy they're not alone in the abyss. Kokomi is a strong healer and both Ayaka and Venti are strong fighters- clearing the abyss is fast work and they make a good team.
And yet it leaves them bitter every time, leaving the abyss with no more information about their siblings, still knowing nothing.
Outside of the abyss, Venti would randomly visit Inazuma more, it gives him inspiration, or so he says. Ayaka and Kokomi on the other hand start sending letters to each other and form a close friendship. Ayato is happy his younger sister has more friends now, but does eye Venti with a bit of disdain.
