Ms. ghost...I have no idea what she looked like other than like I mentioned before that she was so light skinned people called her ghost and that she hated being called that. Because it reminded how violent her conception was and how tortured her mother must have felt to bring what people called a girl mullato into the world. I think it both heals and breaks mothers hearts to birth girls. Because you fall in love when she's in your womb but you know this world can sometimes make being a girl a frightening thing to survive it but to see her strive despite your fears can only heal you. _____ Her mother's complexion was the most beautiful darkness she had ever seen. A native whose African ancestors were travelers that settled the coast of what we now know as America. (Yes Columbus wasn't the first one here). Ghost knew these stories because they were passed down to her by her grandmother to her mother. Her mother made sure she knew who she truly was. Because she would always say, "when you know where you come from and when you know who are there is little this world can do to your spirit". _______ Her father a vile shade of pale. We'll get to him later tho, maybe. #story #msghost #nativeamerican #african #herstory #sahgol
