Got these new “Tinted watercolor pencils” and I’m in love, very pleasant feel for someone familiar with graphite.

Anyways these are Saikal and Cédric, main characters in an alternate history/low fantasy/ speculative evolution world.

This is Valdamerca the Starcatcher, in the Paravastora universe she’s a goddess of the night. Saikal gets to know her when she starts stealing the secrets from the Saikal’s book and turn them into stars ✨

Peregrinatio means leaving one’s homeland and wandering for the love of God. Valdamerca is restless, and she’s looking for someone or something. She steals secrets and makes them into stars. But at some point she realizes that stars are not enough.

Saikal is determined to know why, so she seeks the oldest Valdamerca’s temples and forgotten libraries to learn the reasons. At some point, Saikal discovers that the reason behind Valdamerca’s action is loneliness; she brings more stars to the sky to make it brighter; to eliminate the night (and herself) because she can’t deal with being alone there any more. She misses the goddess of the Sun that disappeared long time ago. Eventually, Saikal learns that it’s her who has to become the Sun. She’s willing to do that, but has to figure out how.

Decided to reintroduce my original setting Paravastora that I'm working on from time to time. Will post more stuff about it soon. Starting with the cover; mostly inspired by my hikes and Caspar David Friedrich paintings.

The name of the world is inspired by a mix of two Belarusian (I was born there) words: “паветра” (pavietra - air) and “прастора” (prastora - space) ✨ prints ✦ patreon
