"A girl in all-guys school" plot but it's Luna Wright the capable gal stuck in a fraternity wing, in a room reserved for only one guy and is gonna stay here until the faculty doesn't resolve the dilemma of finding her a place in sorority instead.

Luna doesn't think it's that bad, tho. "Well, I might as well find myself a cool capable boyfriend while I'm here!". She's quickly proven wrong when it turns out these guys are just SO FUCKING GAY for each other. (And the only remotely straight one already has a girlfriend)

On this special day, all I wanna say is —

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAIKYO!!!!

My beautiful girl has spent this day with her beloved friends and family <33 she thought no one would remember, but of course everyone did~

She was, in fact, very happy everyone she cared about cared just as much about her as she did for them ^^

She started her day off with a surprise cake and presents from her family, followed by a trillion videos and pictures that were taken of her by her older sister<3

She then changed and went out to town, where she got startled by her friend Mako, who came up behind her with a bright smile and handed her a birthday present! She did not, in fact, see that one coming one bit > <

After a long walk in town and many birthday wishes later, she ended her day with a surprise visit at home, from none other than her beloved girlfriend, who was holding a massive bouquet of flowers in front of her. She sure was moved by that~

Salmon Saikyōyaki

[鮭の西京焼き]

A popular fish marinate technique from Kyoto.

Today's dish is a very traditional recipe called Saikyōyaki. 西京, Saikyō, literally means "west capital": a reference to Kyoto city, that, for more than a millennium, used to be Japan's capital before it was transferred to Tokyo.

The traditional way to prepare this dish is using Saikyō miso, a very sweet type of miso produced around Kyoto. It is known for its amount of rice malt, sweetness and light color.

Today we will use salmon, but you can use this technique with any other fish too!

Recipe

1 fillet of salmon

2tbsp of saikyō miso

2tbsp of sake

2tbsp of sugar

Steps

Combine the seasonings until smooth.

Add the fish to the mixture and cover evenly.

Leave it to rest in the fridge for around 3 days.

Prepare the dish using the technique of your choice (check tips for notes).

Serve the dish.

Tips

If you are pan frying, remember to remove all miso before cooking as it burns really quickly in contact with the hot pan.

If you are charcoal or oven grilling, I would suggest doing the opposite, leaving some miso to caramelize when cooking.

Some recipes suggests adding a layer of paper towel to avoid direct contact with the fish, making it easier to clean later.

If you cannot find saikyō miso, you might substitute it for another white miso.
