All year I wanted to escape reality. More or less I did.

01. Rosie - Paddy Breathnach - 2018 - The only film I watched this year and had goosebumps until the end. Terrific.

02. Portrait of a Lady on Fire - Céline Sciamma - 2019 - This is how you make people cry. The ending is perfect in every way. 

03. Suspiria - Luca Guadagnino - 2018 - Every single scene just magical. 

04. The Power of the Dog - Jane Campion - 2021

05. I Care a Lot -  J Blakeson - 2020 - Rosamund Pike can sell every character for me easily, not to mention the ending which was perfect. That’s all we wished for, right?

06. Babyteeth - Shannon Murphy - 2019

07. The Man Who Sold His Skin - Kaouther Ben Hania - 2020

08. The Hand of God - Paolo Sorrentino - 2021 - The first hour of this movie is a perfection, every scene is legendary, every character is special, every bit of dialogue made me laugh so much.

26. Crawl - Alexandre Aja - 2019 - Hurricane, alligators, flooded house. Sold.

27. Operation Hyacinth - Piotr Domalewski - 2021 - An important part of the polish government hating and hunting gay people. And they are still doing it.

28. Palm Springs - Max Barbakow - 2020

29. The Unforgivable - Nora Fingscheidt - 2021

30. Lords of Chaos - Jonas Åkerlund - 2018 - Black metal, Oslo, 1990s, Rory Culkin, Emory Cohen and Sky Ferreira? Yes, please. Also the ending scene, OMG.
