Having Helen and Clytemnestra be identical twins is genius because how poetic and fitting is it that Agamemnon, who used Helen as an excuse to start The Trojan War, who instigated the deaths of thousands and sacrificed his own daughter for his ambitions, only to fall by someone who bears the same face of the woman he politicized?
They really took my show and turned it into a racist, anti-black, misogynistic mess. I definitely had issues with the first two seasons, but this is just hateful. Something in my spirit told me not to watch TVL because I’ve been here before with multiple shows and im so happy I didn’t. Just reading the spoilers is making me sick to my stomach. And of course the racist ass fandom is gleefully defending every bit of it.

And on the scene between Rhaenyra and Corlys, I think both of them have some blame, but it's like 75% on Rhaenyra. Like maybe I'm dumb but I genuinely don't understand why she couldn't just legitimize them/how it reflects badly on her sons. Joffrey's her heir so it's not like he's in contention for much of what's left of the Velaryons, and Corlys is 100% right in wanting to give Alyn and Addam his name. It's genuinely not that big of an ask after literally all he's done for her.
The 25% on Corlys is that maybe Nyra has a point I'm struggling to see and suddenly just shouting that her kids are bastards while she's straining to keep her own legitimacy in check is not the move.

“the most beautiful thing about (syd and carmy’s) relationship is their true unconditional belief in one another. they see the beautiful things in one another that the other one is not able to witness in themselves. […] in a lot of ways, they saved each other. the piece in the opening episode of season 3, where carmy gets the call about mikey and serves the scallop to syd without ever having met her — there is this invisible tether that was not witnessed by either of them, but it inspired syd, and whether carmy knew it or not, this thing was loved and enjoyed by someone that was birthed from this very traumatic moment. there’s just this beautiful, invisible tether that has always existed and will always exist between the two of them.” JEREMY YOU GET ITTTTT
