Isa’s breaths come in sharp gasps as the eyes that stare back at him slowly decay from green to gold. Xemnas’s eyes, Xehanort’s eyes. He’s back in their clutches, somehow. His body is theirs to do with as they will, his mind is not his own, his — It’s just the lighting, says a Lea-shaped voice in his head. A bad bulb and shadows make it seem like they’re a different color, that’s all. Isa tries to see what Lea sees, but all there is is yellow. With a guttural yell, he balls his hand into a fist and swings it at the mirror. The glass fractures, but all that changes is now there are a dozen reflections instead of one. So he does it again, and again, smashes each gleaming golden eye until all that remains is the bronze frame of the mirror and the shredded remains of Isa’s hand. He doesn’t know how, but Xehanort’s heart is back inside him, taking dark root like it had before. It’s only a matter of time before he’s slain into a Nobody. Into Saïx. Again.
