Hi, I have an ancient post WCIF if you don't mind :) Do you know where can I find the shellfish deco and candles in a log from this post of yours? Thanks in advance! 94176537995/i-did-not-send-albacore-or-angora-to-university
Your best bet would be to check the 3t2 conversion database, as I think it might have been a TS3 conversion?
lauratje86 said: Does it need to be an EA university? If not, Peni Griffin’s Land Grant University is great! :-) And only has 10 playables, in 4 households (I think). And it has a band!
I kinda want it to be a premade college, yes. It just fits better in my mind. (But I know Peni’s Land Grant University and I think it’s great!)
katatty-main said: my vote is for SSU! fits the LTWs the best & it’s the one you’ve least played. plus, allegra and castor nova could totally be recruited to david’s band :) (also, nothing to stop you making the sims you’re not excited for into dormies)
You’re right. It’s just that I’ve used it as a background so often that it feels so familiar even though I have never played it properly... also, there are just so many Sims I don’t really care about (most of the Greek houses). Although maybe that’s the challenge?
meetmetotheriver said: I’ve added ALT to RBH before and I think it perhaps fits the best, objectively, but SSU is good as well, and katatty is right, David can start his OWN band and recruit some others to it. :)
Right? ALT just fits so well. But I can also see the appeal in trying something new. And there are a few SSU sims I could see forming a band with David...

charmandersims said: ALT fits the best in my opinion BUT with that being said, I think SSU would be more fun/more of a challenge for you :)
Thank you for your input! Yeah, SSU would definitely be more of a challenge if only due to the fact that while I love some of the sims that live there, I couldn’t care less for the rest.
Still unsure of what to do. Who knows? Maybe I’ll play an empty template with all of the bin sims plus the Riverblossom Hills teens (since it’s mostly the Sim Bin sims I love!)? Or I’ll draw a stick? We’ll see.

It does look like it! But it is slightly more innocent. Just slightly.

Thanks!
And thanks for all the hugs and well-wishes! It’s been rather chaotic those past few years but I’m pulling through. ( @ sushigal007, outstandingoccultist, galialady, meetmetotheriver, squeezleprime)

wcif that desk and shelf above it, and the computer? tnx!
The desk is from Holy Simoly. The shelf is a part of it but there is a shelfless version too.
The computer, I’m pretty sure, is one of @sigmundsims clones of Veranka’s conversions, to give them all the options of Monique’s computer. I have no idea which one is which but they are all here.

wcif that mod please?
The once-a-week-werewolf-transformation mod is here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=219826. There’s also a three-times-a-week variant and a once-every-30-days variant. (The latter would only be useful if you play an age-modded game, obviously. :)
Just be aware that it’s a social mod. So, if you use it and then remove it you will activate the dormant Maxis “Super Hug” coding in your game. Which isn’t really a big deal if you have No Sim Loaded in your game, but some folks totally wig out about that thing. :)
sajlica said: yeah, also I could totaly see Beakers creating bunch of zombies in their lab… :D
Yeah, that could definitely happen! XD Or they’d create robots... for world domination purposes (just in case the whole necromancing thing doesn’t work out- or works too well...) To be honest, you could put a lot of SimCreatures in Strangetown and no one would bat an eye. Robots? Heck yeah! Werewolves, Witches? Why not! Plantsims? Sure, as long as there’s enough water! Bigfoot? He’ll probably sweat a lot but I doubt he would look very out of place there (Beaker test subject?). Vampires? Maaaaybe not.
sajlica said: Yeah, Strangetown is like a wildcard :D Vampires would only be off because of too much sun :)) and Veronaville can fit all things nature - plantsims, warewolfs, bigfoot, even vampires as some kind of Twilight story…
(I could totally see Hermia as a sparkling vampire. I mean with all the ~somewhat~ sparkly facepaint/ makeup she’s wearing. Also, the Capps appear to be the more aristocratic members of Veronaville.)
hollywood3015 said: I named both my pits the exact same thing <3
That’s funny! I think it’s just one of those naming patterns that works quite well for a pair. Hope they don’t fight as much as their mythological counterparts ;D (I’m sure they aren’t).
sajlica said: you’re welcome! Actually that is very much aligned with my idea and I agree about plantsims…Maybe put bigfoot there, he already has all that fur :D but I really like your idea with him in DV…and not sure about zombies though :D
Yeah, in theory, Bigfoot would be a much better fit for Riverblossom.
Well, I guess that’s the issue with the zombies. They just don’t have a proper place in the main hoods. I guess you could place them in Pleasantview (resurrecting Michael Bachelor went horribly wrong?) or maybe Strangetown- I feel like they would actually fit there Now that I’m writing this, Strangetown. It is the town Death’s mistress lives in. It fits pretty well. But then you don’t really have one life stage per town but 7-supernatural-towns+(presumably)-Belladonna Cove...
omg i need to do this recategorization with my content but don't know how! Please help? I'll send you a cute pic of my kitty ^_^
Is that your kitty in your icon? Super cute!!
Here’s my full recategorization method:
I make a 2x2 lot in my testing neighborhood and I decide what it is I want to move and where. Say I want to separate out my bathroom deco and categorize it in Plumbing/Misc, so that way when I’m decorating a bathroom, my relevant deco is just a couple clicks away from the showers and sinks and stuff. I name the lot Plumbing-Misc and enter the lot.
Now I go through my deco categories, finding all my bathroom deco. Shower caddies, toothbrushes, makeup bags, cosmetics, hair products, towels, etc. I just place them on the ground in the empty lot. When I think I’ve managed to get everything (or I fill the lot), I save my game and exit to the neighborhood so I can package the lot to a file.
Exiting the game, I open up the lot sims2pack and select just the objects, not any recolors, nor the lot itself, and export them to a folder named Plumbing-Misc.
Then I open SimPE, open up the first file and go to the Object Data tab. I go to the “Overall Sort” drop-down menu and select Plumbing/Misc (or whatever other category I might be moving things to). Hit Commit over on the left and then save. I do this for every file in the folder.
When they’re all done, I put them back in my Downloads folder and let them overwrite the old files (if you divide up your content into sub-folders like I do, you might need to use your computer’s search function to find exactly where some files are). It sounds like a long process written out, but it really only takes me a few minutes. I’m more than halfway through my list of stuff to recategorize already. :)
