At his question, the fingers in his hair stilled. Sakareth looked up at the Prince of Envy from his comfortable spot in the other's lap.
"No," Leviath answered shortly, and the fingers resumed their careful massaging. "No, we were not friends, and I don't believe we ever were. Prince Lucixiur hardly considered me as on the same level as him. He did... unspeakable things to many people. Including me. It was impossible to get away."
Sakareth nodded slowly, letting his eyes flutter shut. A soft purr started in his chest. "My mother used to preach about how I'd be the prince one day," he spoke softly. "She'd hold me to her impossible standards, and hurt me when I didn't meet them. It's not really the same, but..." Sakareth cracked an eye open, looking up at Leviath. "I understand feeling trapped."
Leviath smiled down at the Prince of Wrath. "It is better now though, yes?" He asked, dragging one of his hands down to cup Sakareth's face. "We are here, and they are not."
"Yeah," Sakareth agreed, leaning into Leviath's hand. A smile found its way onto his lips. "We're alive, and they're not. We're free, and we're free together."
Leaning down, Leviath pressed a small kiss to Sakareth's forehead.
"Yes," he murmured, a gentle, curved smile on his face. "We're free together."
