I really love their relationship and it makes me sad that this is only them in the Yakuza AU [Canon and Detective AU gets it worst, in Elemental AU they aren’t as close because they had a different reason for getting a child, but in the Yakuza AU it’s just “We’re happily married and we’re getting a baby in some months!” “*chokes on whatever* AJKGBFKDJGF?!!?!?!!?!” yes, Sakda was so confused that day]

But yes, you got that right!! Fuyumi is actually really soft for Sakda and she’s the one who talks the most in the relationship. She also sometimes jumps around for no reason and she loves teasing the hell out of people and she also is enthustiastic and charismatic about a lot of things [Kaoru’s teasing came from her and also his charisma, even in canon] She’s also someone who’s REALLY good in business because of how her family is and… Kaoru also got that from her.

Then Sakda is more of the serious type, but one thing everyone knows about him is- he hates disappointing people. He’s also really possessive but his family’s needs and wants come first before himself [even if it hurts him a lot]. He also is talented in several things, but one thing people love to take note on is if there is one thing he sucks at- it’s talking to people. He’s way too blunt. However, sometimes- he can be smooth without himself knowing. [Kaoru got his possessive attitude from him in the AU, but in canon he got his talents from him! and also being smooth? Also from him]

More because… I love them

Like… Fuyumi is also very affectionate and she’s the one who talks to Kaoru’s friends. That’s why she tends to call them with -kun/-chan/-san a lot!! She talks to them as if she’s one with the group and she wants to get to know them more in a more personal level!! She may act like an embodiment of hyper and sweetness but she’s also pretty dangerous and no one wants her angry or sad.

Sakda, on the other hand, only observes his friends from afar and he likes keeping the atmosphere more professional. It’s not that he doesn’t like people, but as said before- he sucks at talking to people. He prefers staying quiet and being there… just watching. However, he’s really good in training people [as seen by how great Kaoru is in the au since he was good before he was in his first gang]

Them together is like a power couple of matchmakers because Fuyumi is LOUD about it, she basically screams sometimes by accident and Sakda has to make her lower her voice. Sakda OBSERVES and he’s really good at it and he pretty much can read love as long as he observes enough. They also talk about couples when they’re alone, and it always ends up them being unstoppable. Dai loves then. A lot.

Also when they’re with each other, it’s really sweet because they’re usually beside each other and he follows her around a lot but sometimes they hold hands or Fuyumi just ends up clinging and not letting go [she gets dragged a lot because he tried to go back to his office bUT SHE WON’T LET GO and Kaoru laughs about this all the time]. In the AU, they love each other to bits and their families can’t do anything about it anymore unlike in the other universes because they were engaged for an important reason and they got Kaoru after marriage!

Okay seriously jkjdbf These two were in an arranged marriage as well, and they are pretty similar to Eizan and Nene when it comes to situation [but their personalities are way different because Sakda is more of the quiet type who doesn’t give a shit for anything while Fuyumi is the loud mouth who loves teasing people non-stop]

They’re basically going “Nah, we’re calling it. You two are going to love each other at the end. We feel it.” because they’ve been through the same as them kjbdjds

Drama Gossip: My Lucky Star

Chomjan is arrested when Ratti catches her selling fake jewellery. Ratti is a renowned jewellery designer and a famous car racer. He loathes liars and thieves and seizes any chance he can to put these people in their places.

When Ratti catches his girlfriend cheating on him with his stepbrother, he flees to Italy. He returns months later when his stepmother threatens to sell one of his late mother's favourite necklaces. Filled with rage, Ratti storms into his ex's wedding and steals the necklace. Chomjan is released from jail and walking around homeless when she's caught up in Ratti's escape, causing the security to cuff both of them together.

Tied together by force, Chomjan must help Ratti run from the police this time.

Pleasantly Surprised

I don't watch a lot of Thai dramas that are not BL-centric. The first one I completed, I only pulled through because I pulled through every other adaptation of it too, it wasn't even the worst adaptation. The second one, I stopped watching it because it was so boring. Not gonna lie, when I reached the middle part of My Lucky Star, I was very close to dropping this show as well. From the very minimal heteronormative Thai dramas I've watched or tried watching, I noticed slow pacing usually comes with the shows.

I am quite thankful I completed My Lucky Star because wow, those last few episodes were such a ride. So, let's back up a little. The beginning of this drama was good. I was thoroughly intrigued to see how the Thai adaptation will differ from the Taiwanese drama. Then reaching the second quarter, there came a point when it became obvious I cannot compare both adaptations anymore because the Thai version was differing quite a bit. At this point, I was still interested to see what is going to happen. It was during the third quarter, the classic third-act breakup if you understand, that truly bored me. This drama really could have cut down on several episodes because the third-act breakup episodes were actually unhelpful to the entire drama. Then the last quarter, honestly expected some of it but did not expect it to go exactly how it went in the drama.

Ultimately, it's all good. I liked that I finished this show because it's not a bad show. Can it be compared to the Taiwanese version? Hell no, the Taiwanese version holds a very special place in my heart. However, disregarding that this is an adaptation from another, My Lucky Star is good.

I would have loved it more if instead of prolonging the third act, they prolonged the last act. Starting from Phrao engaging Pond to accuse Chomjan of committing a crime.

Last but not least, I hate the fact that not once did Night acknowledge the fact that Chomjan is his lucky star. The whole point of calling this drama My Lucky Star is to show through even the minute details that no matter what tough shit the main male character goes through, he always pulls through because of the main female character. Yet Night didn't even call her his lucky star. I must say, I am a little peeved.

"You need to aim with both eyes open," Sakda instructed a young Gaius. The child was young, but he was willful and determined and wanted to learn. 

"I know, I know," grumbled Gaius as he forced both his eyes to stay open. "I'm seeing double of the target like this."

"Aim down the sights, until it stops being blurry."

Gaius tried to focus, but he couldn't get it to stop being blurry. "How??"

"Move the gun closer or further away as you see fit."

Gaius blinked a few times then tried to focus again. He moved the gun a bit forward and the sights became clearer... but, "this hurts my eyes."

"....Practice makes perfect," Sakda replied. His hesitance must have been more obvious than he thought, because Gaius aimed the gun down and stared at him.

"You don't know?"

"I'm an android. I have auto aim."

Gaius glared at him then went back to the gun. He aimed it, moved it around to try and get his aim right, then fired.

"I missed," he grumbled, "not fair."

"You're human. Practice makes perfect."
