God i used some jacket for reference and they cost like more than $300 and i want to die in my poverty xDD
Been slightly obsessed with Sakujan jackets lately - they just look so cool. I'd definitely like to own one someday. Experimenting with colors that I don't normally use either. I'm generally a black, red, and white kind of gal - so it was refreshing to use some brighter colors! Enjoy!
Japanese Souvenir Jackets
(Famously known as the “Sakujan”) Souvenir jackets’ roots are closely tied to the second World War, where American troops stationed in the Pacific sought some momentos to bring back home to the mainland. Since it has become sort of an iconic uniform amongst vets and their comrades whom they have spent countless tours with. Originally, the designs during the 1940-60s were basically a combination of the evening tiger, koi fish, sakuras, Japan map, Maiko/Geisha, Dragon and other "Oriental or Eastern" motifs which generally what the Americans thought of the East during that time.
