Wow ok last minute BURST of inspiration before I leave for a week-long trip! What the heck brain!

But hey~ I didn’t know May 22 was world goth day so this is late, but even though it’s silly but I think the idea of goth day is fun tbh and felt compelled to draw all my goths LOL

Ren (who I haven’t drawn in so long!) is a pastel goth, 

Constance is a witchy goth, Kye is a health goth, 

Elliel is a hoe biker goth, and Gale is a rockabilly goth!

yes we do!! Quite a few I think!

Elliel and Yerzhi’s qp relationship is probably the biggest one. Ellie sometimes calls Zhi her boyfriend for a reason– Zhi’s the first person Ellie felt a powerful, non-sexual love for. They share a deep understanding over their childhood sexual abuse and they’ve helped each other cope, stop self-harming, and grow healthier.Through all her sexual and romantic partners, Elliel was always most comfortable talking to Yerzhi about actual feelings, and Zhi– who is usually pretty repulsed by any kind of intimacy– is comfortable being naked around her and they sometimes sleep next to each other for comfort. They kiss a lot on the cheek and forehead too.(Ellie is mine, Zhi is bee’s!)

Naelia and Aedre are shaping up to be qpps as well! Even though Elliel, Yerzhi, Aedre, and Naelia are commonly a unit, Ellie and Zhi see Aedre more like a little sister than a partner (they’re like her surrogate mix of big siblings and parents), but Naelia, who is so physically affectionate, becomes very squishy with Aedy. They’re often stuck together, Aedy hanging off Nae or Nae pampering and spoiling Aedre like a doll.(Nae is bee’s, Aedy is cait’s)

The Scrappers do all end up getting even closer as they get older though! I’d say that quartet is pretty qp with the exception of Elliel and Naelia who end up getting married.

Garsend and Einnea are distant cousins now, but their loyalty to each other has stayed the same. They’re childhood friends, share a lot of passions, and teach each other a lot of things. After some of the family drama that happens on Einnea’s side, Garsend’s family adopts her officially, so the two are essentially step-siblings too. Even though Garsend wants to marry and settle down in the future, he sees himself raising kids with Einnea in the picture.(Gar is mine, Nea is bee’s)

Picture This, Imagine That:

Stella and Su-Mi are roommates and open qpps. Su-Mi saved Stella during a very bad mental health episode near the beginning of her gender transition, and helped rehabilitate her. Meanwhile Stella helped Su through one of their worst break-ups, when Su stopped eating and was isolating themself daily. They’ve both been through a lot with the other directly involved, and the Imagine That story, while focused on their separate love lives too, is mainly about Stella and Su-Mi’s platonic relationship and how they need each other even through their successful and happy romantic pursuits.(Stella is bee’s, Su is mine)

Solaris:

Sika and Rilu are often confused for girlfriends; Sika likes to hang off Rilu’s arm and Rilu is pretty openly affectionate. If Sika was into women, they might have ended up with Rilu, but Sika sincerely sees them as a big sister figure who Sika’s always worrying about. (It’s actually a running joke that Kye is constantly staring daggers into Sika out of jealousy and possessiveness lmao)(Sika is mine, Rilu is bee’s)

Ash, Autumn, Mint, and Ren as a quartet. Mint and Ren are dating, but the four of them do have very unique and necessary relationships with the others. Ash and Autumn have a bit of a friendly rivalry, and constantly push each other to improve on their passions. Ash and Ren have a quiet, tender, and understanding relationship that slows the world down for each other. Mint and Ren have a fun and passionate relationship, they bring excitement and support into each others’ lives. Mint and Ash have known each other since middle school and help keep the other from falling into slumps. Autumn and Ren are cousins and share the loss of a loved one; they fight the most but they also tend to be the most physically affectionate out of the platonic relationships.(all four are mine!)

Previously the singer of an indie rock band, Gale Martinez is now pursuing a solo career under the alias Half a Gale. A multi-talented musician with a focus on synth, Martinez's energy and fusion of various styles is as refreshing as her namesake. There are rumors that Martinez is dating world-class supermodel Stella Haryadi, but neither have confirmed the relationship.

The daughter of an already successful musician, 18-year-old singer-songwriter Taylor Jansen is a rising star in the world of Country music. Her tomboyish streak, mixed with broody melodies and sensitive lyrics, have won the hearts of fans of all genders. Twitter activity has revealed she might be a secret fan of the bassist from UK-based punk band Natalia and the Strays, but Jansen heatedly denies it.

Influences: Brooks and Dunn, Colbie Caillat, Orianthi

A symphonic metal band started by four high school friends, Magenta Moon blends math rock, power metal, traditional Gaelic singing, and-- unexpectedly-- hints of Broadway. Led by Seattle native Ashley Reyes on violin, lead guitar, and synth, the band also features Autumn Yates on clean vocals, Mint Silva on unclean vocals and bass guitar, and Renee Asao on percussion. Silva and Asao are high school sweethearts.

After a motorcycle accident that left them hospitalized, many fans thought former girl band rapper, Kylie Kato, would never be able to perform again. But Kato’s revival came in the form of an unexpected pairing with soft-spoken, online sensation Su-Mi Park. Now the two reserved musicians perform together as the K-pop duo [blank]. Their minimal instrumentals-- usually Park on ukulele-- topped with Park’s serene voice and Kato’s dark rapping style, have gained them international acclaim.

I decided to do body studies for some of my more active characters from various projects, just to see how their design variation holds up compared to each other! 

I also wanted to take this chance to address something people ask me about really often. I have a penchant for mixing traditionally masculine traits into non-male characters, and everyone wonders if that’s my “key” to androgyny. Honestly I can’t say what is or isn’t androgynous and/or what specifically defines it. I mix and match traditionally-gendered features into all my characters to the point where I just like to look at them as individuals. I think that’s the best way to go about it Probably not all the characters here are considered androgynous, but they were included because everyone pictured has been called “too manly” or “not feminine enough” for various features before. Sometimes it’s the point, sometimes it surprises me and I think people are too close-minded. But ultimately to me, it goes to show that gender-- and therefore androgyny itself-- is a nebulous boundary

constance and linette are so homely omg... 'dear' and 'my darling' ... what pet names do they have for each other? WAIT. what pet names do all your oc couples have for each other

Constance and Linette are the homiest LOL!! What a fun prompt though, I’m gonna do whoever comes to mind first (so probably our most developed/familiar characters)

Ocean of Cycles:

Constance and Linette call each other all the typical married pet names. Darling, dear, my love, sweetheart (this is mainly something Linette says)

Between Elliel and Naelia, Elliel calls Nae love, bird, Princess, and after they’re blood-bonded, Master. Naelia calls Elliel baby, baby girl, puppy, Ellie, and little prince

For Jerria, Krynnis, and Farillus, Jerri likes to call both her boos baby, calls Krynnis “Krynny” and Farillus “Fari” (pronounced “fairy”). Both Fari and Kryn call her Jerri. Kryn calls Fari “manic pixie dream boy” and “rascal,” and Fari calls Kryn “stepladder”

Picture This, Imagine That:

Sam and Sara call each other babe and baby, Sara calls Sam “Sammy” but only when they’re REALLY cuddly. They also call each other “jock” and “nerd” when they’re being silly and roughhousing

Jess calls Jay “little monkey” and Jay calls Jess “Don Juan mother fucker”

Gale and Stella are also notorious, they’ll call each other baby, babe, sweetie, sweetheart, baby girl (and Stella sometimes calls Gale baby boy and Daddy but daddy is kind of a joke LMAO. kind of). Gale’s special nicknames for Stella are Chica, star shine, and Stella baby. They’re also the type to make up random one-time nicknames like snugglepoobear in the heat of the moment

(Mona, Su-Mi, and Cleo are still underdeveloped as a trio so I’m sorry to say we’re gonna do a pass this time around!)

Solaris:

Rilu calls Kye “alley cat” but Kye doesn’t have any nicknames for Rilu (I mean Kye rarely even talks so them saying Rilu’s name is already pretty intimate)

Ti Jinh and Sika typically (and reverently) call each other by name but sometimes when they’re being playful will use “prince” and “princess” on each other <333

Atka calls Azadi “Commander” in the most flirtatious way possible, and Daddy in bed. In very rare casual situations, his special nickname for him is “Zadi.” Azadi calls Atka “trouble maker”

Yrai and Hwan call each other “my heart” and “my love,” but only in very private situations

Other projects:

Addison and Symphony (from White Outlines) call each other by shortened nicknames, Addi and Sym. “Babe” is usually Sym’s go-to nickname

Wen calls Adelaide (from Book Keepers) “Lady,” and Adelaide calls Wen baby, boo, bae, baby girl, honey, sweetie, sugar, Unnie, and sometimes “Mistress” when she’s feeling really mischievous (or when they’re scening)
