My (unfortunately) favorite musical I FINALLY made designs for. And even then they’re a bit half assed I feel 😭 I will definitely improve the designs (especially Miguel and the adults) the more I draw them but this is what I have rn

Still just my ordinary BMC lineup sorry 😔 I can’t remake everyone’s references!!! I still have like 10 other musical casts to draw!!! I hope this explains that I’m still gonna draw BMC though lol just many others to go through currently

Woah pjo… My best friend has all the books but unfortunately I’m not as cultured as him SO I apologize for the inaccuracies if there are any. The gods are very heavily based on my own designs of the pantheon though! Aka these are one of their human versions

THIS is what took me so long on all of these. I love newsies but I’m not drawing 30 something newsboys so I merged some movie/musical newsies to a singular newsie that has one’s name as their nickname and the other as their real name 😔 I love them all dearly though

YOURE INTO NEWSIES. HUH.

Yes I am… The story speaks to me as a person living in an economically challenged country and has been working since they were 11. I also happen to like street rats??? (Been into Ramshackle, The Black Ravens from Professor Layton, now Newsies) so I guess it was always bound to happen 😭 Guess my favorite newsie his name starts with a C and ends with a rutchie

^^^ My early designs for them drawn after watching the live and movie versions. The most I changed was Spot since I found it hard to mix his live and movie versions (I like his personality and influence in the movie but also like his appearance in the live). I did know though I would give him a skin condition to really drive in his nickname ‘Spot’ to make it cooler (like how I gave vitiligo to Mush cause one of the reasons for his name is that his skin looked like oatmeal). After deciding I would give Mush vitiligo I wanted to divert what Spot has and settled on Melasma. It fits his color pallete and style more!

I like how he's more green!! cause usually people make him yellow or orange but he's more of a green guy y'know? you get it.

THANK YOU! Trust me it was very hard for me not to make him yellow (It’s my favorite color, Crutchie’s my favorite newsie) but luckily my second most favorite color is lime green and really it does just fit him more. He’s not the sunshine hes more like the grass you lay on to bathe in it yknow. Also I wouldn’t know what color to make Racetrack LMAO
