sallyscience replied to your photoset “There is a moment that happens, when you’re getting into a new actor....”
This was the interview that did it for me too, tbh. My overally reaction was "that cheeky bastard, I LOVE HIM."
Yes! That was exactly my reaction, too. It just sort of hit all at once, the way he slid into my heart and that “Oh god, I LOVE him” space. Of course, I also couldn’t (and still can’t) decide if I more want to watch him with cute guys or have sex with him myself...
sallyscience replied to your post “So I think we ALL can agree Michael is dumb?? A good, hot, creative...”
Not just A himbo, THE himbo
This cracked me up, thank you 🤣
sallyscience replied to your post: tfw when your good-omens-driven crush on Michael...
SAME. Here I was this morning making a list of all his movies I wanted to watch and now I’m like….I need a minute
like, in general I’m not anti-age-gap relationships. My husband is ten years older than me! But I know how hard the age-gap dynamic is with just ten years, let alone 25, let alone if you’re used to parenting a kid basically the same age as the person you’re dating, let alone if you apparently got pregnant almost as soon as you started dating. So. ngl I’m side-eyeing the whole situation. I wish them every happiness and success of course, and you can’t know what’s going on in someone else’s relationship... but still.

Ooh, I missed it! I'd like to read it, can I have the link?

So far there’s only a few gomens fics but I’m hoping to write some TOS and maybe Who now that I’m getting back into writing?

THANK YOU. He was so great in this episode. He's very talented obviously, but he's also a very subtle actor so you really have to pay attention. I love that!
THANK YOU FOR COMMENTING!! And I am completely with you there, I love that he is a subtle actor. It makes me a little obsessed trying to figure out the meaning of the actions, little gestures, and of course, inflexions of the voice. So last episode of DM made me really happy!
sallyscience replied to your post: so… i’m the only one who wants some damn romance...
RIGHT?! The way they’ve been building up Two/Three, I would love to see that! (Much as I love Three/Sarah, Two would obviously be better for him.)
same here. and i really don’t need the romance to be the primary focus of the show, it should definitely come third to amazing storyline telling and the great friendships that have been forged. but damn i thought they were building up to two/three, and that last scene between five/adrian definitely left me wanting more as well. in fact, i wouldn’t at all be surprised if sarah would eventually just gently point out to three that he has feelings for two.
i hope the writers won’t listen too much to what happened at sdcc. a little romance couldn’t hurt ;)
sallyscience replied to your post: 10th doctor was kind scary with "I AM the time...
Oh thank GOD I’m not the only one who feels this way. I loved 10 at the time I was watching, but now in hindsight and the more I think about it, I’m like “wow, he was kind of an asshole a lot of the time.”
It’s not even his being an asshole that I have a problem with. The Doctor can be kind of an asshole sometimes. It’s more just the way that the narrative doesn’t realize that he’s being an asshole.
And honestly, even that doesn’t bug me as much as the times when he just seems like a generic hero character. Like, watching his era you could forget that he’s supposed to be a 900+ year old alien.
