Used our Himalayan salt block for the first time. Decided to do a lemon garlic shrimp recipe. I added a sprinkle of cayenne. It takes an hour to heat the block up and only a ten minutes to cook a shrimp dish like this. While the shrimp was good, not sure it was any better than on the grill itself, so not sure how much I will use it again. Think it will work outside on the grill better since there’s lots of smoke (if you do it indoors make sure you have proper ventilation) during say a party where folks could cook their own appetizers. I did find a good tip about using one for a grill brick-type set up for say, cooking chicken.
Served the shrimp with rice, homemade (by a friend) egg rolls and sauteed zucchini.
