You can literally put a man who values traditions, civility politics, and strict hierarchies that severely damage vulnerable members of society in charge of Orzammar in DAO. Not to mention Eamon’s unwavering support for birthright monarchy.

You can side with the police state in a massacre of a heavily oppressed minority in DA2.

You are literally the leader of a heavily religious extrapolitical force with rights to arrest and execute in Inquisition. You can actively ignore anyone who promotes progressive ideas and attachment to the rank and file (and often these companions are people’s least favorites? Sera and Iron Bull, you are legendary to me.)

But sure. Veilguard, the game about a group of normal people using collective action to take down an oppressive force trying to claim a monopoly on violence is “the most right-wing entry.”

Tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about.

inzoi 🤔

Still VERY unimpressed with Inzoi so far. I was super underwhelmed with the demo a few months ago (performance was awful, apparently my videocard is the minimum requirement for the game according to specs on Steam). I found the livestream yesterday really difficult to watch between audio issues, the interpreter struggling to keep up/translate everything the lead dev was saying, and my absolute dislike for genAI being shoved into everything.

I'm willing to give it another try though since there's another demo period and I think there's more on show now. They're doing demo key access in exchange for linking krafton and twitch and steam accounts together & watching 15 minutes of a qualifying Inzoi livestream. Jumped around trying to find someone doing something other than CAZ mode (and streaming in english) and landed on IronElixa's stream and stayed longer than those 15 minutes. She seems less credulous about the realities of the game than other videos I've watched (more of a general gamer than an influencer who needs to gas up the game as part of a contract or whatever).

More and more it's looking like a Make Situations for Your Guy and Take Pretty Screenshots and Make Them Do a Trendy Dance than like.. a real game? And I think I'm pretty open to lots of interpretations of what counts as a game, generally. I know I need to stop looking at the youtube comments under the stream. People are really living on some other planet. The streamer agreed that it's like a GTA Online without the adult content.

I probably won't get to play today, maybe tomorrow, but I think I'm gonna try to liveblog my reactions to what I'm seeing. Is that of interest to anyone?

INTRODUCING MY OCS // SALT

I designed Salt really late at night one time as I wanted to draw but didn't know what to draw and before I knew it, I had created a new oc .w.

I don't really know much about Salt, or if I'll draw them very often, but I do like their design :D What I do know is that they are travelling across their world to create a sort of encyclopedia of their world and meet various people while travelling and solve any issues they come across. I need to practice drawing hoods more-

i try very hard not to be mean on the internet but sometimes i want to mash some people's eyes into the screen and ask them do you think [x] is in the title for funsies when they complain about whatever [x] is being inside a very clearly labeled work

Honestly, I’m not really a fan of My Hero Acadamia, but it’ll always stick in my mind as a show/manga which somehow managed to squander a good premise within the premise itself

Like… “a world where most people have superpowers, where superheroes are real, but our protagonist is powerless despite his dream to become a hero?” Is phenomenal. How will this guy overcome the odds to become the first powerless hero? Will he dedicate himself to training to be accepted? Or will he be a vigilante, fighting bad guys even as other heroes try to stop him? Will he have to deal with the widespread ableism of his world, specifically in his career? Will he become a hacker and guy in the chair for a different hero? So many possibilities!

And then he just gets powers. That’s how he gets to be a hero he just… gets powers. Because you can’t be a hero without powers in this world…

Like… I GUESS. But c’mon. I want the powerless underdog hero who proves that ability doesn’t determine your role or worth to society.

(Just to be clear, no shade to the original creator or the fans, just kind of a narration of my internal thoughts and disappointment when I heard of it lol)
