Yeah, Sam Humphries definitely has his favorites and it's definitely Clea (lucky us)! Shout-out to Ton Lima's art, she's magnificent 😭💜

I'm enjoying New Avengers so far but having Clea officially in the team only makes me more interested hehe

Last night I read New Avengers Volume 1: Killuminati by Sam Humphries, and this was an interesting read with the line up of characters.

I remember when the series was announced as Thunderbolts and actually being surprised by the line up as it was around the time of the film, and it only being Bucky.

But that being said, it was because of the line up that had me deciding to pick up this series haha. I probably still would have if the line up was the same as the MCU as Bucky is one of my favourite characters, but with addition of Black Widow, Clea, Eddie and Laura, this one was going on the pull list haha.

The story was interesting, and I am looking forward to the next book.

Spoiler stuff below

I did find it quite funny with how Bucky started off with "I work alone in the shadows quietly" and it just got louder and louder.

I did like how they came together throughout the series as it felt more natural. I get Bucky reaching out to Namor as he is an old friend who seems to be willing to do things dirtier. The same with Laura, especially since they recently worked together in her solo series.

I also get why they would reach out to Banner as he isn't former Illuminati, and probably isn't the biggest fan of them since they sent him away from Earth years ago. I was wondering how Hulk would fit into it all, especially since he is a bit more Infernal these days, but this did all make sense with how it fits into the Incredible Hulk series.

But with how Clea and Eddie ended up in the equation was cool since Clea is searching for Steven while Eddie just got caught up in it all.

The ending with it supposedly being Natasha who hired Jackal to make the clones does leave some questions, but they will probably be answered later in the series.
