Balls to the Wall: A Lifestyle, Apparently
I don't know any other way to live except balls to the wall.
Seriously. If I relax for even a moment, my brain immediately starts acting like we're seconds away from total collapse. Productivity? Maximum. Stress levels? Also maximum. Balance? Never met her.
I keep telling myself I should slow down, enjoy the process, breathe a little. Then five minutes later I'm juggling seventeen priorities, three spreadsheets, and a to-do list that somehow reproduces overnight.
Honestly, it's fine. Probably.
Speaking of things that don't branch out much, let's talk about my wardrobe.
People have closets full of color and self-expression. I have a collection of what can best be described as various shades of "don't spill coffee on me."
My fashion palette consists of:
On special occasions, I get wild and wear white.
But that's where I draw the line. Bright colors? Not happening. If a shirt can be spotted from more than 20 feet away, it's already too adventurous for me. Somewhere there's a rainbow crying because I've personally refused to participate.
Today also marks the last day of my fiscal year.
I am more than ready to put this fiscal year in the rearview mirror. It's been a year of deadlines, challenges, surprises, and approximately 4,372 meetings that could have been emails.
But despite the chaos, I'm genuinely excited about what's ahead. A new fiscal year always feels a little like opening a fresh notebook, you know it's going to get messy, but for a brief moment it looks full of possibility.
The funny thing is, I know exactly what's coming.
In other words, it only gets busier.
And somehow that excites me.
Maybe that's why I live life at full speed. Maybe I actually enjoy the challenge. Or maybe I've simply forgotten how to operate below 90 miles per hour.
Either way, tomorrow starts a new fiscal year. The workload will grow, the calendar will fill up, and my wardrobe will continue to resemble a tasteful collection of shadows.
I wouldn't have it any other way. 😆
Cheers, here's to a new year.
