            Sam Eagle is a character from The Muppet Show.

            Sam Eagle is a political news television host and is in charge of the broadcast standards and practices for the ABC. He is conservantive and believes in dignity.

            Sam Eagles first appearance took place in 1975; performed by Frank Oz. On his first appearance he introduced two characters named Wayne and Wanda who sang songs who Sam believed was ‘normal’ and ‘high brow’ compared to the rest of the ‘low brow’ entertainment on the show. Sam Eagle has appeared in every Muppet film, usually as a brief cameo or minor role.
