So, Sam and Marty proxyfucked at Worlds over Misa and it was probably a bit weird between them afterwards. Not that it wasn't weird between them before but that was mostly just Dickie being a bit weary of Marty, now it's weird from both sides.
Minty, being the good boyfriend that he is, is obviously updating Bedsy about the things going on at worlds, including the weird shift in tension between Samtone.
Bedsy is the person you need in every good gossip circle that flat out asks people about the rumours going around. Minty and him are an incredibly gossip-y couple, they love to talk about other peoples business and they will beat a dead horse until it comes back to life again, but Minty is much more reserved in how he acquires his gossip.
At some point after Sam and Misa join the Child-Captain-Canada-Training-Camp Mack has started the whole group is together (in a bar or on someone's couch) and Bedsy just turns to Sam and asks him what's up with him and Porter Martone. Sam insists that everything is fine because he can't exactly explain that he fucked the guy over not being able to fuck his crush who's currently sitting in his lap next to him. Bedsy is nothing but persistent because he's nosy as fuck and now everyone wants to know what's up with Sam and Marty, especially Misa because Marty's his friend and he wants all of his friends to be friends with each other. Sam doesn't break though, he insists that everything is fine.
A few days later they're at a bar and Mack's playing pool with Misa while Bedsy, Minty, Kindy and Sam are at a table. Everyone's a bit tipsy so Bedsy tries again because he's not leaving Van without this piece of gossip and Sam actually spills the beans that he hooked up with Marty but tells them that it was just casual, no deeper reason behind it.
Kindy just kind of sits there in shock because wtf? he didn't know Marty hooked up with NHL players other than him?? (He definitely isn't getting attached to Marty, what gave you that idea?). Kindy's now also considerably more red than at the start of this conversation, so Minty asks him if he's good and Kindy just nods, very much not okay.
Bedsy now has a new goal, he's like a dog that caught a scent and now won't let up until he has learned all the gossip there is. (Minty is also very much interested, but he's more subtle.)
