a common thread in like all my DAI playthroughs now is i just can't bear to kill the Hissing Wastes dragon. she is sleeping so peacefully... you can walk right up to her. you have to trigger aggro yourself she won't attack you first. and i can't do it!!!!!! she's done nothing!!!! a majestic beast who deserves her giant lonesome sand dunes...

if you're thinking "but i MUST because i need that achievement" well actually since they added another dragon in Jaws of Hakkon, who DOES attack you immediately when you trigger the fight + the fight is part of the story, THAT dragon counts towards your count of 10. so you can pick one dragon from the base game to leave in peace and that for me her majesty the Sandy Howler

Was anyone ever going to tell me the sandy howler in the hissing wastes looks like the cutest of kittens napping? It was even biting it's own foot.

My life has become infinitely better since I found out you can sneak up really close to sleeping Dragons because look at those curled up babies!

(also took the last few steps with tactical camera cos I'm still scared shitless)

im too broke to afford the high keeper robes so i rlly went out of my way to search for the Sandy Howler so i can get the armor and once i found it i felt so GUILTY

its out here sleeping, minding its own business and shit and i come busting through and said aite time to die

doing the hissing wastes was actually very fulfilling as a cadash, and with varric alongside me. it felt like we were bonding over our surfacer lives and like, learning that just because we were born topside didn't mean we were less dwarves. look at the dwarves who went topside and built a whole thaig of their own!

also i didn't touch the sandy howler ,, she was just napping ,, didn't wanna disturb her sleep by a vicious attack

Look at these two divas! I spent 2 hours last night fighting a dragon, the sandy howler in the Hissing Wastes.

CONFESSION: 

I've owned Inquisition since the day it dropped. I've logged more than 2,000 hours in the game. To this day, more than three years later, I can't bring myself to fight the Sandy Howler. It's not like it's going to terrorize any towns, living in the Hissing Wastes. It's just in the middle of nowhere, taking a nap.
