Episode Thoughts: Justified City Primeval - S1, E4

Ep 4: Kokomo oh Sandy.  Now you're complicit in assault by flipping the switch.  She really is stuck, not sure how she's going to make it out.

I really love the way Raylan and Carolyn have conversations.  I do think he's concerned about her, although her being more forthcoming would help the investigation around Mansell.  (Mansell really is terrible, every scene he's in makes me uncomfortable.  The way he talks to Sandy about silencing the phone and putting it away, it's all... so controlling.)

goddamn! Hina is amazing, standing up to the Albanian's; and I feel terrible for her because she has no idea where Sandy is.  Not sure why the Albanian's think threatening Hina is the way to go, she has no control over Sandy.  It's ... ridiculous but I suppose the Albanian gang isn't known for their clear headedness.  (Nothing hotter than Raylan knowing he holds the power with his gun pointed and the slow shake of his head at the criminal listening.)

Norbert, the detective, is an asshole.  He gave chase to the Albanian, who was running away from him, but he shot him dead.  He could have aimed for a leg, plus he shot more than once.  He's gross.

Man, Carolyn arranges a way for Sweetie to save his life and screw over Mansell but he wants to do it his way.  I feel like he just announced his upcoming death because I can't see Sweetie making it out.  Which is disappointing because he's not the same person he was a decade ago, I think his bar provides a safe place for people.

Carolyn called Raylan, for help. 😍 I love that.  And of course he helped, extending it to her house, which of course she's not happy with.  But he does it himself 💜 and Carolyn is resigned to it and smiles - even coming out to speak to him, tempting him with a drink.

Weird note: I really want Mansell to close the damn robe, I'm sick of looking at him in his underwear.
