Years of searching and I finally found it. My if I was on checkplease Bay Area resturant (no instagram @kqedfood) . Found it when I finally found a spot whose BBQ sauce I love. It's @guerrastogo . By no means am I a BBQ sauce expert. I have however lived close enough to KC to have homemade BBQ sauce. I've also had BBQ in Houston and Dallas and St.Louis ranging from famous places to just a BBQ place. I can't believe how much I enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich from there . The BBQ sauce is just amazing to me. I don't think I can or should try to describe it, best I can say is it taste like homemade BBQ sauce. They were out of cheddar cheese and were kind enough to substitute with some mac and cheese on top. The meat is simply clean good meat. Not greasy, it tasted amazing and great texture. I asked for the coleslaw on the side as I don't generally like coleslaw and I'm glad I did as it was so good I think I wouldn't appreciated how good it was. Even the pickles, and I don't usually like pickles were great. The bread was fresh and tasty which to me is important yet many sandwich places will give you a sandwich on bread that's less than fresh. Ah and the price. I've noticed that unfortunately it's gotten more and more difficult to find good food for less than $10 in SF. the portions, what else could I say, perfect. All I've eaten today was a hot dog and small package of trail mix. I feel full. Looking at the sandwich I was a little concerned that I was going to end up with more than a few bites of just bread and sauce. Instead every bite had a perfect amount of everything. So what's not so good, location. It's in the sunset. Is it really good, yes.
