Had to take Lucy out in the snow to explore and take in the beauty of Texas veiled in white. I love cacti covered in snow so much. Went to the San Gabriel and watched a (drunk) guy get his dodge 4x4 stuck 3 times and almost go off the bridge. Took a stupid selfie, saw a beautiful cardinal in the snow (isn't that good luck?) And came across a gaggle of turkeys! Had a lot of fun. It is real snow out there and it is accumulating on the roads. Saturday's hike was along the West Fork of the San Gabriel River. A mild day and an easy trail made it easy to hike 15 miles. The spring bloom is still with us. Today's hike was along the West Fork of the San Gabriel River. It was cold, overcast, and threatened to rain all day - perfect conditions for a long hike in the forest. It never got out of the 40's and the downpour/hail hit after the hiking was all done.
