1) Asiatic Lions: The Asiatic lion is a (Panthera leo leo) population surviving today only in India. Since the turn of the 20th century, its range is restricted to Gir National Park and the surrounding areas in the Indian state of Gujarat.

8) Pygmy Hog: The pygmy hog is a suid native to alluvial grasslands in the foothills of the Himalayas at elevations of up to 300 m. Today, the only known population lives in Assam, India and possibly southern Bhutan. As the population is estimated at less than 250 mature individuals, it is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List.
