San Haven Sanatorium was originally a TB hospital that also served as a mental asylum once people with developmental disabilities were locked away by their families in the 60s. This was a place that used corporal punishment on their patients once run by the government. After being shut down in 1987, the land was sold by the state back to the Turtle Mountain reservation. Since it's abandonment 30 years ago, nature has been taking over.
