stealing this idea from my other blog and reworking it as rusty because i thought itd be cute with him ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
rusty with afab reader and hes sent off to the store/pharmacy to go retrieve sanitary products
hes standing in the isle, a little confused as to what exactly he should get. theres so many options. winged or wingless? tampons, which tampon sizes???
hes silently panicking. what if he comes home with something you didnt need and send him back to get a different kind?
hes quiet, thinking to himself as he looks at all the similarly colored boxes.
then a man whos whistling a tune, passing by the isle, skids to a halt behind rusty. a giant, animal of a man studying the tampons a little too intently.
the stranger looks over, then puts a hand on his shoulder and says. “dont be ashamed, brah. youre just as much of a man as we are.” and then walks off, continuing his tune.
what.
oh right, he could just text you and ask what kind you needed.
ʚ♡⃛ɞ ⭐️🦫 pregnancy scare ~
rusty is at the pharmacy, sweaty palms shoved deep into his pockets. hes looking at the various different small boxes. pregancy tests.
oh, who is he kidding? hes not ready to take care of another life! it meant putting down the whole killing thing, for good. if he wanted to be a present figure in his kids life, atleast (if you even were pregnant). it doesnt help that hes a trucker, so hes not even home as much as he would be if he had a boring office job.
he sighs through his nose, feeling out of place under the bright, sterile lights. it was miserable inside of the rural shop, trying to mentally distract himself when he finally reaches for a light pink packet.
a man next to him looks over and snorts. “first one?” he asked.
rusty tensed, the package crumpling in his grip from surprise. “huh?”
the guy cocked a brow, “pregnancy scare?”
rusty blinks, a little taken aback by the mans question. “uhhh…”
the guy only chuckles. “dont worry yourself out, man. were on our fourth.”
“pregnancy scare?”
“child.”
“shit…” rusty mumbled, rubbing his stubble.
the guy laughed. “thats what i said too.” he began reaching for different various tests, like it was something hed practiced a million times. “might as well be rabbits at this rate.” rusty chuckled at that.
“anyway, i wish you luck.” the guy sighed. rusty nodded, “you too.”
as the stranger walked off, rusty looked down at the test gripped in his palm. atleast his nerves were a little more relaxed.
just a little.

Students at schools, colleges, and universities throughout Scotland will now have access to free sanitary products in a landmark policy change to eradicate period poverty. The country is the first in the world to introduce such a measure. Hey Girls, a social enterprise company, will be supplying the sanitary products to 395,000 pupils and students to help “banish the scourge of period poverty” — the common term to describe when girls and women struggle to pay for basic sanitary products on a monthly basis. Champions of the action say it is a first of many changes to come. Go here to read more.
