Nah I need to rant more about dans sweetness to Phil. I think it’s one of my favorite parts of their dynamic just by the simple fact that I see dans kindness as him putting Phil first in everything. It’s as if all the bad things he went through he never wants Phil to experience anything like that so there is this nurturing and gentle side towards Phil that you see more often after they hard launched. You cannot tell me Dan doesn’t love Phil because Dan just loves so LOUDLY. I mean take the romance side out of it and Dan is always there for Phil no matter how scary it is (hospital bleeding out story), or any big event of their life (tour, house, public image, etc)I am just grateful they have each other because no one deserves dans happiness quite like Phil and Phil’s happiness is deserving of someone like Dan. <3

Motivation monday

My Sappy Finale Day Post

I know I did the parting shot post, but I have a few more things I need to get out.

This show has seen me through a lot of my life. I’m not going to list it all because eh some of it’s still rough to look back on. I dealt with crippling anxiety. I had a miscarriage. I supported my husband while he got a masters (it was mostly mental and emotional support because he worked full time the entire time ha). I moved house when 9 months pregnant (Grade F strongly do not recommend). And now we’re dealing with a worldwide pandemic. This show has been a highlight throughout all of this. Something to look forward to no matter what.

But I also realized that when I talk about this show seeing me through it, I really mean all of you. I know there’s some less enjoyable parts of the fandom, but for the most part we’ve been here slogging through it all. Together. In good plotlines and in bad, we’ve supported those who need it and sometimes just made it better through fics and arts and metas. People have come and gone, but they are still all a part of my experience so I thank everyone whether they’ve watched from day 1, gave up after the show made it unwatchable for them, or just joined us for this last episode. We’re all in this together.

I’ll still be around after. I have big plans for writing and rewatching (unless I get big mad at the finale but even then I will probably rewatch all my favorite parts and pretend the rest didn’t happen ha!). And this experience we’ve had together, nothing can take that away from us. Not even the end of the show.

So here’s to Agents of Shield. Here’s to a family who found each other on screen and off. Here’s to all the things we’ve shared, and all the things we have yet to share. Here’s to everyone: the writers, the artists, the supporters and cheerers, and even the people who just read posts and nodded their head (or shook their fist- you’re all valid). Things will be different in the days to come, but the one thing that will never change is these connections and friendships. 

I salute each and every one of you. Fingers crossed for an amazing resolution to this wild journey we’ve been on together. Love to you all.

To anyone who tells you that love is all roses and secret goodnight kisses, let me tell you the story of how I knew I was in love;

There was this person - let's call them X - that I'd known for a while, maybe for the past year or two. We'd talk often about our plans for the future, what we wanted to do once we got out of school. X's plans often involved travel and roaming the world. Me, on the other hand, I was stuck in our town in the best way possible. I wanted to stay here because X was here. And I didn't come to terms that I was in love with them until I found myself staying up past my normal time to watch the sunrise because I recalled X saying something about the sunrise being so beautiful. I found myself staying out later with X in the car on the road with the windows down because I loved the way they looked with the street lights on their face, brightening their complexion in the most beautiful shades of orange and faded yellow. Fast forward a couple of years. We've lost contact. X is now in a different country, still wanting to travel the world. I'm still in the town we met and grew up in, and I still think of the beauty in late night car rides, the stillness of her body as she lay asleep in my bed after returning from a night out, the calmness in her eyes whenever she drew, which she didn't do often but she was still so good. Love isn't roses and secretive goodnight kisses. Love is: not knowing what your past would be without someone, and not wanting to imagine how you as a person would be without their impact.
