Uma Prova de Amor — 2009

Finished reading My Sister's Keeper about an hour ago- it was the most heart-wrenching bittersweet ending ever. Ultimately a really good read that I really recommend.
Side note, Alec Baldwain did a great job playing Campbell Alexander but he was the complete opposite of what I imagined Campbell to be.
Sara Fitzgerald: Oh my God, you're good. You're really good. You know, I've seen your commercials, right? I mean, who hasn't? And I always thought that you were some sort of headline-seeking hack. But you have real talent. You almost had me believing that you cared about Anna.
Campbell Alexander: Funny, I was about to say the same thing to you.
the problem i have with My Sisters Keeper isn’t with the changed ending because i find the movie ending to be more satisfying versus the book ending. the book ending had Anna being exactly what she didn’t want: to be used for the sum of her parts to save Kate. she died and all anyone thought of was her kidneys. and i understand that it’s supposed to be profound or whatever but it’s ultimately unsatisfying and frustrating. and i know things from the book had to be cute and changed for runtime purposes obviously but…
the issue i have with the movie however is the complete the removal of one of the main characters, Julia (and her lesbian twin Izzy!), who acts as Anna’s voice and gives depth to Campbell Alexander as a character completely changes the story. it was the removal of Jesse’s delinquency which makes his actions and behavior more explainable and makes it all the more obvious that Sara Fitzgerald wanted to save Kate so deeply and so desperately that she neglected the emotional needs of her other two children, which LED to Jesse slipping through the cracks! which LED To Jesse stealing a judges humvee. she neglected the emotional needed of Brian which LED to him taking Anna and moving into his firehouse. Campbell never seeing Anna again at the end of the movie when at the end of the book he was her medical power of attorney and he and Julia were friends with the Fitzgeralds.
tho Alec Baldwin as Campbell Alexander and Cameron Diaz as Sara Fitzgerald was 10/10 casting like no notes at all from me there. brilliant casting.
Metallic Rouge | Sara Fitzgerald Transformation
“Metallic Rouge” The Theme Songs, First Promo
The Metallic Rouge television anime's official website released new information about the theme songs, key artwork (shown above), and a debut promo trailer. On January 11 at 0:55 a.m., the anime is slated to debut on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block. TV Nishinippon, Kansai TV, Toukai TV, AT-X, Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting, and BS Fuji will air afterward.
I realize then that we never have children, we receive them. And sometimes it's not for quite as long as we would have expected or hoped. But it is still far better than never having those children at all.
Jodi Picoult as the character “Sara Fitzgerald” at the end of the “Wednesday” chapter in her book My Sister’s Keeper (italicized emphasis on have and receive that Tumblr won’t let me format)
