VA Key Grassroots Festival

I will be performing for the first time in Miami. The festival starts in 3 days! Volunteers and an awesome team of people have been setting up and getting things ready for weeks on end, all to provide the best festival experience one could hope for! This is going to be a colorful and inspiring event, I just know it. :)

Why I want to make heart-centered music

                                                   Art is the outlet for ultimate creative expression.

I now project into this world what I choose to receive. 

Truth Awareness Love Happiness Resiliency Strength Empowerment Grace

The heart connects us to the realm of the infinite while remaining grounded. The heart circulates our deepest desires, our passion, our compassion. The heart is how we feel. The heart is how we heal. The heart is where it starts and where it ends and to where we come back again and again. 

If music (art) is the ultimate form of creative expression and the heart is where we can form our most genuine and TRUE pathways to knowing ourselves and others, then I want to help build the bridge that allows the two to meet.

Now I ask myself, when is music not empowering, connective and true? The answer, I suppose, is all art has a way of bringing groups people together. There is no 'right' or 'wrong', 'good' or 'bad.' We all choose (or just know instinctively) what resonates with us at any given point in our lives. The music I appreciated and loved as a child or as a teenager (among other things) somehow got me to where I am now. And that is awesome. 

So I leave now with this: The intention of art is to be, to represent, to know your most authentic and unique self. There are no rules. It's time to play.
