I saw the coolest jumping spider @ school today during pe (I wasn’t able to take a picture for myself) but it was sassacus vitis!!!! They’re also called the buttonhook leaf beetle spider I think.???

^ THEYREE FUCKING LITTLE GOLDEN SPIDER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they’re so cute

I got to handle the one I found for a while and it was surprisingly chill with the situation. * theyre super super small (like only a few mm small) * I think the one I met was a male because they’re usually the super shiny gold ones, and the females (3rd image) are duller (and larger also) * theyre native to North and Central America (from like Canada -> panama I think?? Is the range)
