one of my good friends is off to Cambridge in September to do her MPhil in International Politics, and I have to say, I am so excited to visit her 💫

[9/09] Study area all to myself today 👩🏻💻
03.02.2020
Day two of uni, so not much studying is required of me tonight. I’ve just spent time going through my syllabi and making sure I know what needs to be submitted/studied for throughout the semester. Also made these cute little graphics for my pinboard.
finals!
So I know it’s a very stressful time for a lot of students right now (myself included) so I thought I would post a little list of things i’m doing/planning on doing to avoid burnout and general despair:
- I’ve actually been doing this the whole semester, but I schedule in 2 hours of naptime/downtime during the day so I can recharge
- Using timers like the forest app to keep me off my phone/ break my study time into smaller pieces
- I tend to get very disinterested if I study one subject for too long so I alternate what i’m studying every 1-2 hours
- Pack healthy (or healthy ish) snacks with me and bringing drinks in a thermos to the library so I don’t spend money at the cafe
- Making sure I talk to people throughout the day
- Keep a flexible schedule. Shit will inevitably change/ take more time than I originally thought, but it is good to have a general idea of what needs to get done
-Search for youtube videos that summarize topics that I didn’t understand from the class notes
- Keeping personal care in check. While academics are very important, so is showering, laundry, eating, sleeping, etc.
And that’s all I can think of! Good luck to all of you with exams/papers/projects this week!!
College has officially started since like ten days and I feel like I'm already lagging behind? Not much is going on now but I'm scared I won't be able to catch up in the future, and this being my graduation year, I'm more scared!!!!
Also, Stranger Things 3 was such a fantastic series I ugly cried ;(
And also(2), guess who went on a dateee?! ❤️ The pasta though ❤️❤️😜
