Promethea moth? The caterpillars look so juicy
Have you seen the promethea silkmoth (Callosamia promethea)?
I have now
Yes, in photos/videos
Yes, irl
Males are smaller and darker colored than females. The adult pictured in this post is a female moth.
Saturniid Work Force
Thought I'd post this stage of the line work before I potentially ruin it by adding more details and adding colour to it.
Some Saturniids (Family Saturniidae) Facts!
Adults can't eat anything because lack of their mouthparts, so they have to eat as many leaves as possible during larvae stage. Their lifespan is a week or less :(
Their gender can be distinguished by size of antennas and abdomen! (Female's belly is more fat as they have to produce many precious eggs)
Male have big feather-like antennas unlike female because they have to detect female's pheromones and find female as soon as possible before they die.
Featured moths : 긴꼬리산누에나방 (Actias artemis), Japanese Moon Moth (Actias gnoma), Japanese Silk Moth (Antheraea yamamai)

Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
Although Atlas moths have some of the most impressive wings of any Lepidopteran, they do very little flying. Adults don’t eat after they pupate, so they have to conserve as much energy as possible. Females stay fairly close to their cocoons, while males will travel onyl a few kilometers to find a suitable mate. Both sexes die only a few days after mating.
