Saulo Vasconcelos (with Irasema Terrazas)
I'm still clearing old notes off my phone. Here's some Phantom picnic date ideas based on actor portrayal vibes and phandom inside jokes.
Earl Carpenter takes you to a riverbank. It's a little muddy but it's a fairly nice day.
Saulo Vasconcelos takes you to a big meadow with some trees and lots of lavender. There's butterflies fluttering around and a couple grasshoppers.
Ben Crawford takes you to an empty sand trap for pedialyte popsicles. There are ants everywhere. At least it isn't raining.
Michael Nicholson takes you to a park with plenty of trees for shade. There is a duck pond. It would be perfect if it weren't raining. And if he'd remembered the food.
Simon Pryce has a backyard barbecue. There is a bench swing and a hot tub. It's overcast, but overall nice. The kabobs are slightly burnt.
It's raining outside, so Laird Mackintosh puts a blanket on the living room floor. There are lots of sandwiches and vegetables with dip. Everything is served out of tupperware. Even the grape juice.
Cooper Grodin takes you to the food court at the mall. It's not exactly a picnic, but at least you get to choose which fast food to eat. Mr Grodin has also brought along a couple Taos Bakes energy snacks, how thoughtful! Your beverage of choice comes from the vending machine.
Jeremy Stolle takes you to Central Park for a picnic. You are beset by pigeons.
Ethan Freeman takes you for a picnic of peanut butter sandwiches and milk in a tree house.
Peter Joback has an outdoor fire pit at night. You spend a couple hours toasting marshmallows and drinking Svedka.
Derrick Davis has a brick fireplace. You spend the evening drinking fancy wine.
I'm clearing old notes off my phone so please enjoy some modern Phantoms based on actor portrayal vibes and inside jokes.
Derrick Davis - the type of person who would bring you flowers at work if you had a bad day. (They might have come from the gas station across the street, but it's the thought that counts.)
Saulo Vasconcelos - the type of person to bring mini muffins to the neighbourhood bake sale.
Jeremy Stolle - the type of person who would wear open toe sandals with calf high white socks to church.
Cooper Grodin - the type of person who would charge you a gym membership and make you hire him as a personal trainer at a gym he built in his garage using secondhand equipment from the 70s. [This version is based on his restaged take on the character, not the Masquerade version.]
Franc D'Ambrosio - the type of person who would sing "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas" unironically. [Look, when you've heard him sing "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" you just know.]
Thiago Arancam - the type of person who would start a farm and grow nothing but beets, just because he heard that beets can be used in place of road salt.
Paul Schaefer - the type of person who shops for wallpaper.
Uwe Kroger - the type of person who would buy up a bunch of cemetery plots and then sell them to you in threes and above retail value. [This one wasn't on my phone, I made it up just now.]

el fuck stream notes; alternatively, fridge stream notes
[el fuck courtesy @wismoth I think]
'my wife' to the chandelier is our version of "I like your shoelaces"; @almostemily: can we play get down mr. president but it's get down mr. opera ghost
@adrien1614: have we discussed the chandelier as a sword of damocles over christine
@probablynotben: Anyway, regarding the music box - AFAIK it originated with the ALW stage version. In the 2004 movie, it's implied that the Phantom himself made the music box, since he had a rough preliminary version of the monkey w/o the music box with him in his cage at the carnival @motelpearl: aw why is the concept of erik liking monkeys cute
Stream fic recs: The better man and The unseen by @flora-gray; So fair a gift by @bespin-clouds; Casse-Noisette by @intothemertensverse; My Dear Nutcracker by @ablatheringblatherskite; Sticky notes and serendipity by @brendadaaedestler and @nerdywriter36; The Patron Saint of Lost Voices by @almostemilyy; Horology by @abonnymouse

Dinosaurs by Charles R. Knight
Extra sweet and doll-like Meg; frightened and heavenly pretty Christine
@warpweight: i love when a christine has such an elegant angelic clear voice and then meg is like I'm a dolly brought to life by my mother's sinister magic!!!!!
@from-aldebaran: Meg is off to practice at the shooting range
@rostrofbeast: Toy AU where it's the steadfast tin soldrier and everyone is a type of victorian toy as well; episodes of The Toy Castle on YT
The English National Ballet's Nutcracker on PBS Great Performances
@britishchick09: i just found out that masks were found around sao paulo before the show premiered! very masquerade! ;)
@wheel-of-fish: oh he got better at playing the organ
@litloverscorsetlaces: He's playing his organ correctly from where i'm standing
@almostemily: every time I watch MOTN I think of the christine interview where they're like "yeah I think about what I want for dinner during MOTN"
@warpweight: god it's like if a ghost was a slab of drywall. gone sexual
DIABOS
THE HISS
dimmedghosts: HE CALLED HER LITTLE MONSTER
@lonlonranching: leaving a snail trail. @daaesviolin: snail au when

@batherik: I love the idea of these men having to work out to crawl better
@almostemily: i love when you can tell andre is the raoul understudy
@rostrofbeast: i wish they had tried again with the Paris production, i would've died for Gardar as POTO Phantom
@almostemily: the real opera ghsot said no
@lit-ari-ture: The paris production where some weirdo dropped a chandelier on everyone?
@heyitszev: early 2000s aesthetic of a revival where they are actually all in purgatory and can't get out and have to replay this over and over
@maroogaly: it costs zero dollars to watch erik have a breakdown, we're just being fiscally responsible
@lonlonranching: you kinda gotta feel bad for this raoul bc other than the usual rik being ten feet tall if the wind hits him right he’ll just blow away but THIS RIK. is an industrial freezer.
@poorerik: i love you star princess david bowie boots
no trio; also, @GlassPrism: in the libretto the line translates to, "You spent long winters without my warmth and passion" so uh I guess far-reaching?
@opera-ghost: me when i spend long winters without his warmth and passion
@maroogaly: odd thing for a fridge to say but okay
@from-aldebaran: He said papi-ing gaze
PTOTEGIDAS
IDIOTA
@rostrofbeast: Piangi's Last Performance before he leaves for Italy - Uploaded by GlassPrism
@Forestscribe4: Piangi in don juan always reminds me of charles laugthon in the canterville ghost
@Zhenyus: age gap relationship who height gap relationship it is
@motelpearl: problematic hand size gap relationship
@warpweight: in masquerade PONR they're two bees exchanging information on some new pollen to go find
@Zhenyus: fridge unboxing GONE FREAKY
@glassprism: My general thought is they think keeping Christine onstage will keep the Phantom onstage
@litloverscorsetlaces: "Let's go back to Italy" @rostrofbeast: "Carlotta, are we in Italy?" "Yes Piangi, it's beautiful here :,("
@opera-ghost: it's called joys of the flesh because i enjoy the makeup :)

@Zhenyus: i hear the audience crying lmao
@heyitszev: he is about to isolate himself so he can die
@-Aldebaran-: He has regressed to a childhood he never had
@rostrofbeast: he's wet
@greenstripedcat: you know how for Hadestown for one final perfomance of an actor they let them go, and for once there was a happy ending? I know poto isn't the same at all, but imagine they did one performance like that, with Christine stayign instead of returning the ring. imagine if we had that
God. This recording of Saulo's last performance with the filmer's crying......... it is impossible to bear
