Hey everyone I have a little psa. Ik this isn’t my usual content but this is very Important to me. Please take the time to read!

I’m not sure if any of you heard, but Idaho recently (the governor greenlit it like yesterday) passed a bill to allow the killing/hunting 90% of their wolf population in any way possible. With this bill, now passed, it allows hunters to kill wolves with minimal limits. Taking the (approx.) 1,500 wolf population down to (approx.) 150.

The reason they want to pass this bill is because they claim that the wolf population is hurting their livestock and causing problems for elk (missed that mistake) hunters. This is a ridiculous claim and the actions of this bill could not only hurt the ecosystem but also the Idaho wildlife management funding, disqualifying them for about $18 million.

Stop the Slaughter of Idaho's Wolves

If you want to learn more about how hunting large amounts of wolves affects ecosystems, look up “Yellowstone national park wolves reintroduction” or something along those lines.

Not only for the wolves, but this would also mean a lot for me! I have always loved wolves and I’m about to start an internship at a wolf conservation near me. It’s ridiculous to think that people are able to get away with manipulating nature like this, it’s not our place to think we can! 🐺

Yesterday the Trump Administration removed wolves from the endangered species list in the lower 48 states. This removes federal protections from wolves and allows states to decide the fate of these animals. This move has been attempted by other presidential cabinets....but was always overturn by the balancing act of the court. But not now. Trump and his admins have dealt a death card to wild wolves.

The loss of federal protection will now allow the states to open up legal hunting, trapping, poisoning, and other cruel acts of extermination to deplete wild wolf populations. We are facing a future where wolves will be exterminated again....and the work that we have done since 1978 will be erased.

This act goes against scientists as well as ecologist, who have proven that wolves are a benefactor to the ecosystem.

If you guys agree that wolves should have federal protection and would like to see them recover without mass murder from human beings.....raise your voice. Be active. VOTE. FIGHT to get them back on the endangered species list. Please visit the link below and add your name.

I personally would love for future generations to enjoy these majestic and beautiful animals. I would love for them to hear their howl in the wild. I would love for wolves to thrive without the encroaching fear of death from human beings. I would love for them to simply live.

Washington state is at it again.

The state's years-long killing spree of endangered wolves continues at a disgusting pace. On Wednesday the state authorized the killing of wolves from the Smackout pack and approved taking out the mother and remaining pup from the Togo pack.

In September a helicopter sniper gunned down the sole adult male wolf of the Togo pack, pictured above. He was the father of two pups and left behind his mate to fend for them on her own. Now Washington is gunning for her.

And since 2012 the state has killed 21 state-endangered wolves — 17 of which were killed for the same rancher.

Killing wolves is not just cruel and inhumane. It also leads to more conflicts, breaks up wolf families and reduces social tolerance for wolves.
