A narcissist is not capable of loving, it's not love, it's an emotional attachment known as a trauma bond, many abusive relationships begin with a shower of affection and assurances of love, when the abuse begins it may take you by surprise,

This is what trauma bond does to you. It has you hooked. You allow them to abuse you because even the slightest bit of attention feeds you the chemicals you crave. Oxytocin and dopamine.

It is an addiction, It is because they give you love. And take it away again. The constant back and to. That’s what they do. They mess with your head and heart.

And by the time you realize, it's too late.
