Story time. During the early 2010s, I had a copy of soul silver. I wasn't much of a shiny hunter then, and I wanted to play through the game again.

Naturally, I pick chikorita. I knew I needed a friend before Falkner, and this Gen added grass with Mareep in it before the guy who stopped you if you tried to progress before beating the flying gym.

I decided mareep was a good catch before sprout tower. So i head into the yall grass.

And she cane, pink and fluffy, my first shiny since I failed a voltorb in crystal by running away!

I named her Aradia, after the homestuck troll.

A month later, after we climbed to greatness. I lost the game. I never found it.

Fast forward, and I'm doing a shiny badge quest. I see a mareep outbreak, and I think back. I miss my floof...

So I knock out a few, and reset. Then he came, floody and pink. A worthy successor to her

Met Amphere. Him and Siriacha are going to go places.

And I'm not losing him.

A combo Halloween hunt and sbq hunt. Shiny cofagrigus in 851 eggs on shield. The final hunt of my sbq! I didn't think about using galarian yamask to get unovan yamask in a luxury ball through breeding, so I actually caught one on black and transferred it all the way up to shield, lol.

Named after. Cleopatra. Obviously.

After 1,000+ Encounters/KOs with no luck I switched to hatching eggs and after 440 eggs I finally got my shiny Coal!
