People thinking the past was dark and monochromatic when in reality life has never been more devoid of colour is PISSING ME OFF. Look around yourself. Everything is something shade of gray or neutrals. Cars, interiors, exteriors, clothes.

The Greek statues were painted, and their clothes were dyed rich colours. Odysseus was dressed in purple. People of the middle age LOVED colour. I don’t think non-swedes understand how iconic it is of Minecraft to announce the copper updates in the Falun copper mine 😭🫶 It is literally THE mine, and has existed since the 1500s. It’s also the reason for the existence of those classic red swedish houses (the mine made a BUNCH of red paint, starting in the 1600s. So much so that basically everyone were using it, which they still are to this day). It even made the world heritage list!
