Eric gets bitten and becomes a zombie SCD Au

OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS. Let’s say at the end of s3, Eric is the one Mr. Ball Legs inhabits and Sheila is forced to turn him instead of Joel. 

At first, the Hammonds each feel guilty for their own reasons: Sheila, because he’s so young and she should have tried harder to protect him. Joel, because Eric trusted him like a dad and he should have sacrificed himself. And Abby, because she promised Lisa she wouldn't involve him in her family’s weirdness/ruin his life and isn't that exactly what happened???? 

Eric is...not thrilled when he realizes what happened. Studying at MIT is going to be very difficult when he has to worry about finding/killing Nazis for food. That said, he also doesn't understand why the Hammonds are so upset. Sheila, Ron, even Gary all live happy and fulfilling lives being undead. What’s so different about him? It’s not until he’s talking to Abby that he realizes what she (and her parents) are truly worried about: Sheila changed so much after she died. What if Undead!Eric isn't the same Eric they all know and love?

Lucky for them, Undead!Eric is still the brilliant, loyal, compassionate, and easily worried nerd they all adore. He’s only a little braver (kind of like Ron), which he feels he gained from hanging out with the Hammonds more than being undead anyway. Eric chalks it up to his id being related to his quest for knowledge and answering scientific questions that have plagued society for generations...Abby attributes it to the nerd gene being too strong. Regardless, they’re all relieved

Eric takes to some parts of undead life better than others...no more needing sleep? Awesome, he can read science textbooks and watch owls all night! No more needing to use the bathroom? Fantastic, he always had a weak bladder anyway. Being disgusted by human food, even his mom’s nine-layer dip? Not so great. Lisa didn't understand why he couldn’t stomach anything anymore until he finally lied and said he was going gluten free/vegan & would handle his own meals from now on (luckily Lisa attributed it to him trying to get jacked for all the college girls he was going to meet next year)

Eric feels awkward asking Sheila for advice on being undead, especially since he doesn't want Joel to think Sheila is replacing him as Eric’s Adult Best Friend-Slash-Neighbor. So, he does the stupid thing and calls Ramona for advice. Of course Ramona comes all the way down for a little visit (and what she hopes will be round 2 of their sexytimes) without Eric realizing that’s what she wants--no, he assumes she just wants to help a newly-undead fella out. Abby gets verrrrrry jealous--what, just because she’s not undead, she’s not good enough for Eric now? Eric, of course, sticks his foot in his mouth a ton until Joel steps in and settles everything and Abby & Eric go back to being awkward little lovebirds

umm i havent seen santa clarita diet so can you explain? and then like. explain how the haus finds out about bitty? and how he gets changed? and like. how he feels about it?

So in the show‚ Sheila‚ the main character‚ eats some clams that turn her into basically a zombie. She only eats raw or frozen humans now, and she’ll straight up bite into living people. Her husband Joel helps her hunt people and cover their tracks‚ and also is continuously freaking out over the whole thing. They also have a 16-year-old daughter who finds out about this whole mess sometime mid-season one I think.

If you’re considering getting into it‚ I should warn you that it got canceled after season 3 :(

Ok so‚ I think maybe he gets turned during the Parse updates‚ mostly because I like the idea of packing even more chaos into one night than there already is

Shitty is probably the one to find him barfing his guts out. (It’s like. A lot of vomit. So much vomit. An extraordinary amount of vomit).

Next day‚ Bitty seems fine‚ but he eats all the raw meat they have. Which is too bad because he was planning on using some of that to make pie.

I have no clue who bitty’s first victim should be‚ but I’m leaning towards a lax bro.

ANYWAY. the team has to start out at least 20% more ok with murder than any normal person because in the show Joel has a 20+ year relationship and a teenage daughter on the line. And to the team Bitty is just some guy they’ve known for barely three semesters.

Albeit a guy who makes the best pies any of them have ever tasted.

Bitty obviously still bakes pies‚ but he can’t taste them‚ which is rough to say the least

The team steps up to taste test as he goes. He only ever has to adjust ingredients once or twice‚ but it still makes him feel a lot better that it’s getting tasted as he goes.

They DO dump at least one body in the pond early on and it doesn’t get found until after it freezes and then melts again so Shinny happens with all of them knowing that they’re skating over a corpse. It’s fine.

“Dear Diary‚ today i furthered my courtship of Bittle” but it’s because he helped him drag a body into the basement freezer
