I have to get this out, so I have this idea, that.. you know how the “dark sides” sort of get listened to..? Not by choice but by force.

Janus snuck in and Impersonated Patton and got a seat at the table. Remus knocked out Roman and got a whole hour episode to himself. Remus was feared by everyone the whole time. (Except Logan...)

I’ll come back to that in a second.

So maybe, the orange “side” it isn’t necessarily a new side, my thought is he’s (Logan) always been the orange side. he won’t stop being logic. Just orange.. LOL. (Cause we have two blue sides.. is that suspicious to anyone else? No? just me okay.) Anyway.

Back to what I was saying earlier.

All Logan wants is to be heard, recently he hasn’t been, maybe he would be desperate to do anything? Not “joining” the dark sides.. but kinda playing the part. Take that as you will, “Playing the villain, playing the part.” Whatever floats your boat. Playing the part of the villain, like Janus did ,or Remus.

Remus has been the one poking the stick at the bear by provoking Logan and making him yell at him.

Maybe their trying to make Logan reach his limit. Why? I don’t know.

Just an idea..

(I also hope Virgil notices Logan spiral just like how Logan noticed Virgil being anxious in Nostalgia pt2)

ok. but. i love pepper potts character development, from “you’re going to kill yourself and I’m not going to be a part of it” to “but will you be able to rest” to rescue to “you can rest now”. i’ve seen people calling her the strongest woman in the mcu, and even though i didn’t really feel strongly about it, now i wholeheartedly agree. there was something I really admired and loved about her, and it’s that she didn’t change her entire “being” through everything that has happened. she didn’t suddenly get buff, learn to fistfight, or stray too far from who she is. there was always something gentle about her, her carefulness and her vibe (for the lack of a better word because im not actually smart), she was the kind that looks in peace, she’s clean and organised, and (again i can’t really express that feeling, because she reminds me too much of a friend) she has that entire calm and collected vibe, the kind that would “oh my god that was really violent” after beating the shit out of a guy on fire. but through everything, she still stayed that calming presence, but managed to grow mentally and emotionally in a capacity that is just amazing. and because endgame was the most recent movie, here are just some examples

firstly, the time tony was hesitant about going through with the time travel idea. he’d talked to pepper, and through that conversation it was as if he hoped that pepper would talk him out of it, but he wanted and needed pepper to give him the strength and the steel to go for it. i was absolutely awestruck and lowkey in love when pepper, instead of telling him the risks and how dangerous it would be to both him and the family, understood the part in tony that would never be able to let this go in peace, and the part that will always do right. she understood all that tony went through, she understood the self-sacrificial streak, the utter lack of self preservation instincts, and she understood the guilt and anxiety that thanos has caused, and how tony, already plagued with nightmares, would never be able to rest knowing that he could have fix everything, but turned away instead. she knew that tony wasn’t selfish, but he was scared (reasonably so), and that he needed the strength to continue (someone who understood what he went / was going through, not the mindless yelling presented by steve and co.), he needed the support of the the love of his life, and the only person that could give him that was pepper. so despite her own fear of her husband possibly dying and the lure of how their life could be like it was for the past five years forever, she understood, and she gave him the courage and comfort that she would always be there to support him.

the second would be rescue. pepper potts, the least violent, the most prim and proper person ever, was wearing that death suit in the middle of the greatest fight in history. and the thing i loved most about this was her collectedness. she wasn’t trained for this, i don’t think she’s ever been in the middle of something like this, but she still came on and handled everything like a pro. she was all “i got this” (or was it i got you) and she was literally the most calm person there was. and i loved that, because that didn’t take physical strength (ok it did but that wasn’t the main thing), it took crazy mental strength to step into a war zone and not freak out. and that 2 second, blink-and-you-miss-it moment where rescue and iron man went back to back was the literal best thing ever, it was the literal embodiment of “i got you” “i got you first”, only that it was that pepper will always have tony’s back (yes, literally), she’ll follow him (not mindlessly), wherever he is and she’ll protect him like he protects her. she’ll be his stone, his anchor even in all this chaos. and honestly, that was the most badass scene ever, she’s a strong, capable woman and she’s got this. and it was a huge leap for her character, definitely, but as i said, she still managed to stay the same person she is, even in the middle of a huge death battle.

and lastly (although there are tons of amazing scenes and such, but i’m tired and it’s already way too long), the final tony scene. the silent strength radiating from her was amazing, she knew she had to be strong enough for the both of them. she’s managed to be strong for tony before, but this was different, because this time she could barely think, breathe or talk herself. through all the movies she’s been in, it was always obvious that tony dying was one of her greatest fears. all those times she’s freaked out about tony getting injured / almost dying and everything, this time it’s real. it’s painfully real, and she still manages to keep her tears from spilling, she still talks to him without her voice shaking, she still smiles at him like everything is okay. the love of her life was suffering and dying, and she still finds the strength in her to reassure him, to give him the closure and peace to leave. she still demonstrates the collectednes in front of tony, and she even orders him to look at her. because that’s something she does, and she knows that tony would want the last thing he looks at to be her. even in this, she was giving him strength. look at the way he suddenly looks alive, even has the strength to speak when pepper arrives, the way he smiles at her and the way he tried to express all his love in just a look. she gave him that strength, and it’s amazing. and the moment tony leaves and she just breaks down was heartwrenching, because she tried so hard and she’s only going to let herself cry when she knows those tears can’t hurt tony anymore, because tony can’t see them.

ok small bonus thing: the part where tony’s in space and pepper has to go through almost a month of wondering and praying if he’s alive, or if he’s safe and whether he’ll be back alive and just imagine the torture and the pain of that and she stilk pulled through that was amazing on its own

and it was beautiful, the sheer strength in her character, in the prim woman who grew from a secretary (?) to the ceo, to tony’s wife, his pillar of support, and finally to the strongest woman in the mcu. i love and admire her so much.

do you ever think Patton looks back on his friendship with Virgil after befriending Janus? That he thinks it’s his fault that they aren’t friends anymore, and now he’s friends with someone Virgil hates and he thinks it’s pushing Virgil away even more? And feels guilty for being friends with Janus, which also makes him feel bad about Nico? How in the interview ep he wasn’t his normal self answering the question ab how he feels about Nico? Maybe he thinks he doesn’t deserve to feel hopeful, maybe he’s worried he will ruin another good thing, and doesn’t want to make things “worse”. Like his friendship with V?

Just a thought.

no trust liar (endgame things)

what really bothered me when i watched endgame was the scene where tony lashed out at steve. first off, I completely agree that steve had that coming, it was such an emotional and powerful scene because tony came back from almost certain death, he was tired and grieving, and cap was asking him for coordinates like that was the most important thing. and at that point tony’s too tired to hold all that back anymore and what comes out of it was so heart wrenching and true and he really gave all he had. but that’s not the point, what bothered me was steve’s reaction, or rather the lack of it. maybe that’s just steve’s character and maybe i’m just not that familiar with him, but that look on his face and how he just stood there kind of hurt.

firstly the look on his face, it wasn’t just stoic, it was the look you give to a child or some annoying animal being unreasonable. the pity and the disregard and that looking down (wow i forgot the word for this) made me so mad, as if he thought of tony as some deranged person or some angry resentful child. again, this might be completely off but it’s just what i felt when i first watched the movie.

second was how he didn’t say a single word. maybe that was his way of showing apology, by letting tony take it out on him, but again i felt it was just that he didn’t even bother to respond to tony. to me, tony was definitely just trying to let everything out, but a tiny part was also to get something out of steve, to hurt him. but steve didn’t apologise, didn’t show he was angry or hurt or sad, and imo that silence was the worst insult. not just that he thought tony wasn’t worth replying to, but that he didn’t even take tony seriously.

and also, how steve completely disregarded that tony literally just walked out of a spaceship he was sure he was going to die in, thinking and praying that pepper, rhodey, happy and the rest of them lived, after losing to thanos and watching all the people he fought with turn to dust. he might have had time to process everything and deal with it, but tony was busy dying and thinking that he didn’t need to process anything since he was going to die anyway. so when captain marvel showed up and saved them, it was the first time tony had the time or need to think and grieve and steve comes in like the chill guy he is and starts grinding him for coordinates or anything useful. like in that state with that much guilt and pain and having everything crash on him when he came back, he already wasn’t emotionally stable and steve couldn’t even see that his Friend was in pain before trying to get something out of him was kind of sickening, honestly.

this scene was definitely a really good scene, especially with rdj’s performance and also for tony’s character and it was one that i thought steve deserved for a really long time, but idk i just felt like steve’s response was cold and disrespectful and hurtful

this scene

in iron man 3 where tony blows up his suits, is honestly so damn beautiful. the suits looked like fireworks and together with the soundtrack it was so sad and glorious (and idk why kind of bittersweet), and the way pepper looks at those suits and the way tony smiled and his eyes lit up were so beautiful ?? my heart can’t take ?? and the meaning behind it is amazing too, it symbolises so much both with tony, pepper, pepper/tony, and everything that happened in this movie and it’s so well done

look at how damn sad and angry tony was in infinity war when strange gave up the time stone to save his life, i didn’t notice until i saw a screencap and his eyes,, broke my fuckin g heart

I found 10 + screen caps of this scene and bc they were all tiny i went like “oh hey they’re the same i’ll just grab one” but no when i opened them all of them were different and so emotional and there were those tiny details that rdj puts in that makes every frame so alive and painful, and he portrays tony’s emotions perfectly,

the defeat from losing (which the avengers was really not that used to) to thanos,

desperation because thanos was just one hair away from wiping out half the planet (and he thinks its his fucking fault) and he was that one last shield between thanos and the world and he failed, he’s failing,

pain because he’s going to lose everyone (and also bc he just got fucking stabbed)

and lastly anger, both at strange for giving up the stone just to save him (which is a trade he would never be able to live with, because what did he worth in comparison to the stone?) even after strange made it perfectly clear that he wouldn’t hesitate to let tony die if it meant protecting the stone, which i bet was something tony trusted and believed. so he’s just so angry at strange for making that trade, it’s not worth it and at this point he thought it was pure sentiment that strange would do something like this

but also anger at himself, because he just failed again, he tried to protect earth by bringing the fight away from it but that didn’t work because he thinks that he wasn’t good enough or strong enough and that it’s all his fault,,

and theres that gleam / glistening in his eyes that really sells how much he hated strange for doing that, how much he wished he just died instead if it meant that the rest of the world had a better chance in making it to another day

but i’m just blown away by how emotional this scene and how even the lines in his face spoke,, how it showed so plainly and honestly exactly how his character was like, completely raw and this is just from looking at a few still shots, not even a damn video + without sound, someone stab me

i wanted you to be better

i feel like this is one of the moments that made me fall in love with mcu,, “i wanted you to be better” is like something you say when you truly love someone, and you truly want the best for them. “i was just trying to be like you” would play to a lot of people’s egos, and im sure (and i thought at that point for tony) that people would just be like aww you want to be like me!! and that this scene would just end there. because hell yeah some teenager looks up to me this much, I’m happy. but no, tony knows that this kind, talented kid could be amazing, and he doesn’t think it would be enough for him to just be like tony stark. i just thought this through and if someone told me they wanted to be like me and i didn’t know or care about them, i would be like oh really thanks ? but if i actually cared i would want them to be better. because i know i’m not good enough for them, they could be so much more. so yeah this was such a dad scene i swear.

of course it’s not just that that makes him say that line, and we all know that, it’s also part of tony’s self hatred (?) and that just makes this scene even better because it shows his character too. he knows all his character flaws, he thinks that he doesn’t deserve anything good because he believes that he has messed up too many times, made too many mistakes and wrong decisions to ever be good. so looking at this young kid, he couldn’t imagine anyone, much less spider man to ever look up to him, because he thinks, who could ever look up to someone like me. that’s why he paused (or I’m pretty sure he did), i think it’s surprise and shock, and he thinks through all his flaws and mistakes and he says “i wanted you to be better”. digressing a little, i think he does somehow think of peter as his responsibility, including the responsibility of teaching him well and making sure he grows up well (also shown through his constant comparison to Howard and how he’s trying to be different), and he doesn’t think that peter should have him as his role model, so he says this line to kind of tell him to find yourself better, I’m not good enough to be your role model. and tbh i think that’s also part of the reason why he takes the suit away, so that he can distance himself from this kid to not hurt him/influence him the wrong way anymore (again with that self hatred).

as for peter, i love the way tom does this scene, the desperation honestly broke my heart, like he knows he just messed up, and he definitely feels terrible because all those people could have died because of him. and then his mentor, his idol yells at him about it (justified ofc) and he’s trying so hard and all the emotions just come up and the only thing he can say, the only he thing he can be sure of at that moment, and one of the things that he has always been sure of / probably tells himself, is that he wanted to be like tony stark. peter doesn’t know tony tHat well, obviously, but he doesn’t know or care about tony’s mistakes or flaws, all he sees is a hero that saves everyone, that knows what to do, and has a kind heart. at first my reaction towards his line was a little of “oh he’s playing that card to get out of being yelled at”, but afterwards i see how disappointed he is with himself, and how he knows he’s let down his mentor, and it really adds a lot more weight to this scene :O
