I write One Piece stuff, although I don't think it will be interesting to anyone because my works are quite specific, haha.
They also can be pretty difficult to understand because first I write in Russian, and only then translate into English, which I don't speak exactly at the same level as, for example, Vladimir Nabokov, who knew both of these two languages perfectly.
This blog is more personal than dedicated to writing, so I recommend not to subscribe to it, LOL. Besides, here I think of Doflamingo too much, and it can irritate you, I guess. ;w;

Stop telling yourself that you're wasting your life. The time you spent on rest and healing was and still is necessary. You're not a waste of time and space as you struggle with difficulties. And this is also occupation: hard and sometimes quite exhausting. Healing, getting well, slowly unraveling your pain — all of this is fundamental. It's not a waste of time. If someone is interested, I'll tell you about one of the techniques I use in writing now.
Text message to my friend: I really try to look at things outside the box. For me, everything has its own story. I try to learn this story and understand it.
So. For example, I have a character I want to write about. It can be an original character or not. I come up with conditions and events I link into the plot. But I need to understand how my character will act in this or that situation. Sometimes, it's a canonical one, but you can make it even brighter. For example, I want to write a little story about Doflamingo. The point I want to see him in is the death of his brother, Rocinante. It's an option I chose to make it visual.
I freeze this particular situation in time. Then I put Doflamingo in such an imaginary space where everything is static. Here he's also an object. I think of him as a Rubik's cube. It's not colored, but completely black. On some empty squares, I put colors — these are the traits of Doflamingo's character, his words, and actions shown in the anime. Do you remember the accident on Minion Island? In other places, I add what I think is logical and what I like personally. For every writer, it's something individual, so here I won't dive deeply. Just imagine what you want from Doflamingo.
Then I start to examine this cube from all sides and twist it where I think it's necessary. This way, I put together a picture of what he thinks and feels at this frozen moment. It may take a long time, but in the end, I get a much brighter image than the one I had at first. Doflamingo is collected, and now I can describe his feelings and thoughts.
For an original character, this method differs only in the Rubik's cube is initially uncolored, and it's all up to you.
Humanity's ability to love is something worth living for, and I won't hesitate. Choose love, and no matter whom you love. It may be real people, your family, friends, offline or online, non-existent characters, your pets, your favorite things, and the whole world.
